This. Debt system is quicksand, and that cash is a nearby tree that you can grab onto so you can pull yourself out. Money within itself is a useless abstraction and should not be venerated, but it can save you from a life of debt and is therefore useful.

the system is set up this way intentionally, it provides maximal value to those that employ disposable wagies. the only way to truly escape is to avoid linear wages, i.e to start your own business where you can be the one that determines how to balance your own life.
