1 owner boomer
budget an additional $3k for new tires, brakes, and service maintenance
The boomer will be looking to upgrade since his 5 yr/100k mile warranty is expiring. Haggle a little if the 100k service maintenance hasn't been done yet. Also, you can expect no nigger aftermarket parts to be installed and the vehicle to be maintained adequately. Just remember the cheaper you go the more maintenance you'll be likely to put into it. 10k grand max
I bought my first car 5k, but I don't need something that big anymore so I'm gonna sell it and get something smaller for 3k
Cars are not important
I hate car culture

My transport is a $3000 honda blackbird. If it dies one day I'll probably buy another old shitbike

I bought my Accord in 2019 for $25k cash. The dealership offered to buy it back for 32k last year. I declined because I'd burn up all the profit on something equally nice. 25k was the max that I would allow myself because I was already getting hosed because it was a new purchase from a dealer.

>they depreciate by a quarter the moment you drive them out of the dealershi
This isn't true. Cars depreciate as you drive them, not because you just left the lot. The car has a value, what you're losing is the dealership markup that you paid. It's like the premium on gold purchases

I would lease an $88k car for 3 years. A lotus emira to be exact.

I have never owned a new car.
But I have owned every car I have driven.
Never paid more than 14k.

I could absolutely afford to drive a brand new lease. Just don’t care.

25k cash with taxes and fees?

thats a pretty good deal for an accord if so
now the EX is 30k pre tax/fees and only has a 1.5L turbo.

It was 25k out the door with tax, tag, and fees. Got a lifetime warranty and every single bell and whistle possible. I was trying to buy the car for six months and the guy finally gave in on the last day of the month. This was in 2019 though. You'll never be able to get one under 30k now.

This all really depends if you’re a car person or not. If you don’t care about cars don’t spend a lot. But if you are a car person life is too short not to drive something fun and exciting

Just go buy something like a 2005 corolla. You can usually find one that's been sitting in a pensioner's garage that they're now selling because they've been deemed too decrepit to drive and it'll cost 3k or so. You can get replacement parts from any scrap yard for pennies and most repair jobs you can learn from googling. Repeat this process when you run into any costly repair job (fucked gearbox or engine, you crashed it like a retard and destroyed a large portion of the exterior, etc) that's worth more than the market value and leaves it undrivable.

VERY nice anon. I just paid 18.5k for a 2016 EX-L but I do wish I could get the 2.0T near 20k instead for the goat fuel economy and better inside features. Maybe if I get tired of the J35 in a coupe form factor but honestly having a ball in it thus far

Damn. I can't even imagine being blessed to get one of those at 25k. Hope you treasure it.

Like everything in life it's all relative to what you can afford never over-extend yourself for a depreciating asset. I wouldn't buy one outright because they aren't a great investment, better to pay a set amount over a few years and get a new one at the end of it, especially at the moment when we could be seeing hyper-inflation around the corner.

a 95k EUR Beemer is just a tax write off in its birthplace. You may as well buy the most expensive POS on list, because otherwise, you are handing that cash over to the Government. They basically subsidise the car industry. This still only makes sense for self-employed and hi-rate taxpayers tho. At some point normies started buying 95K POS on loans - that cant end well, nor is there any legit explanation for such insanity.
