George Gammon did a good video on how the stock market is going to dump when the yield curve uninverts.

It looks like a minimum 7% drop is almost guaranteed. The question is, how long until the yield curve uninverts and what is the usual delay between uninversion and the final bottom?

Trying to time some puts here.

Here's a pill,
You would want to trade these like a retarded futures contract. For the love of God however don't ever try trading these on short time scales.

That said binaries are just meh when it comes to options and offer fixed risk-rewards and are hard to really use effectively. If you're hell-bent on trying it NADEX is the only halfway decent broker of them but IBKR also has them now if I recall.

Use caution anon, the market has a tendency to be autistic and pump out of nowhere.
A better idea would be doing a bear call spread to get theta to be on your side if it doesn't immediately dump.
You could also try selling a Put Condor and collect a credit in either direction market-wise.

>i always thought it was because their companies are state owned/overseen by state workers embedded in-house so they can pull the plug at any moment?

This is a goyscare. Just like parents tell their children about the boogie man to keep them from going outside at night. In reality, the federal government is as likely to seize your assets as China. Because (1) it is fundamentally on the verge of bankruptcy and (2) it has a history of doing it shamelessly. Also, we can consider the radical policies of the Federal Reserve as a constant ongoing implicit seizure of either assets or wages depending whether it is inflationary or deflationary. Yuan-denominated asset exposure guards you against this type of theft, as the PBOC is mindfully conservative. Their QE is the Fed's QT.

>>54327087
I challenge you to look at the performance of the Shanghai Composite Index and the underlying P/E Ratio and tell me that it's more risky than the S&P 500 built on top of 14 years of unlimited QE.

Real estate has been objectively more profitable and secure for Chinese retail investors as millions upon millions of people have moved from villages to cities, in comparison their stock market hasn't performed that great. But even now the situation is reversing as the real estate market has pretty much peaked. 65 million empty flats. I think the trust issues are hereditary and cultural more than rational and stem from rustic boorishness most Chinese have still not escaped from. They want something tangible. Institutions on the other hand are in stocks. HK is famous for its masses of retail investors in stocks. Young people who have worked in an office their whole lives are more open to stocks and other assets. Remember how big the Chinese crypto market was? Real estate is just the boomer thing.

You more or less build an Iron Condor but sell it with Puts for a net credit.
So in short if the stock/ETF/Index moves up or down by a fair chunk you make money. This will kill you if it moves sideways.

Otherwise, if you don't know which way something is going to move but you know it will move this is a good way to get premium without committing to a direction.

I'm looking at getting into a good SQQQ entry. I'm watching that 313 resistance, I would love a hard rejection next week. That retard pump on Friday looked so fake and gay, timed my SOXS wrong by not selling that 8:30 AM top. Still profited, but made a bad entry into SQQQ at the end of the day, thinking it would pull back. Got out, will be watching for confirmation

Let's say a stock just had their earnings report. They fucked up. The stock is dropping pre-market.
What kind of indicators should I look at if I want to know whether it will end the day in green or it will keep on dumping? For example Oxford Industries dropped 5% premarket this week (idk which day) and ended the day at a whopping -12.5%. How can I tell whether it's a good idea shorting after bad earnings or not?

If the stock rises too much before an earnings announcement, usually it will drop after the earnings are announced- even if it is good news. Vice versa if a stock falls too much before an earnings announcement, whether the news is bad or not.

We even saw this a bit during the past week on the market indexes- indexes rose heavily earlier in the week in anticipation of the interest rate hike announcement from the Fed on Wednesday. Then when the Fed announced the expected 25 bps hike, even though it was in line with like 80% of market expectations and wasnt surprising at all, the stock markets and indexes still tanked following the announcement. The markets rose too aggressively before the announcement was made.

DOJ is probing UBS and Credit Suisse 3 days after UBS offers to buy Debit Sussies.
DTCC is forcing UBS to re-neg on it's purchase of Debit Sussie being a 7% holder of UBS.
Debit Sussies inherited a steaming pile of leveraged derivative^2 from Archegos capital regarding GME.

If UBS manages to get out, the BIS picks up the bill through the interconnected network of derivatives that are forced to settle in default.

Here is a list of some of the bullet-swap counterparties:
>Hudson bay capital (BBBY)
Barclays
BNP Paribas
>Merrill Lynch
National Financial Services
State Street
>UBS
BNP Paribas
>Goldman Sachs
Paloma
>BOFA
>Citi Group
>Deutsche Bank AG
>JP Morgan (Fed Reserve)
Morgan Stanley
>Credit Suisse (Biggest swap party)
>JP Morgan Chase Bank
SG Amercias Securities
>Bank Of New York Mellon
Bank Of Nova Scotia
SS&C Technologies Inc
Samlyn
Fidelity Prime Services
>Morgan Stanley
Northern Trust
>Morgan Stanley Fund Services (Cayman)

>Implying banks with CDSs already mooning and/or crashing in market price
>Implying the Caymans are also not safe from GME

These short-hedge parties have to facilitate infinite fiat redemptions to GME holders due to a logic error in the stock market. Quadrillions of derivative bets comes tumbling down.
This kills every fiat-based Central Bank in the world.

>You can't kill the BIS
The entire asset set (AND value) of the BIS is dwarfed with the obligations Archegos heel-striked the counterparties with. Central banks are checkmated to step in and backstop to prevent whole-market neck-snapping volatility, The equivalent fiat output to 95% GDP of BIS is...infinitely more times by the number of counterparties required to close.
With Cayman Islands exposure, every fiat connected hedgehole is exposed.
This includes every nation the listed counterparties hold derivatives in.
This directly affects the performance of the central banks and if every one of the 63 central BIS banks are in ruin...

...The whole house of cards falls down.

So, mumu. When you put your money in a bank (you know, that other broker that doesn't let you buy SPY). That number on the screen isn't USD bills in their vault. They use your money to buy assets and make a return, usually for themselves, with perhaps some portion paid to you as interest. Under normal circumstances, this results in profit for the bank and convenience and perhaps meager profit for you.

Now you may at this point have a question. "But bobo, what if the assets the bank bought with my money went DOWN in value??". I am glad you asked. The answer is, if those assets are bonds, they are potentially OK - if held to maturity, they will still pay back the full face value of the bond (as long as they bought from a reliable, high-quality issuer). HOWEVER. If they need to sell. Such as if a bunch of silicon valley nerds are panicking due to rumors on Twitter. Then they will have to realize losses. At some point, those losses could exceed their profits, meaning the cash they could get from selling everything at market prices is LESS than the total of the number on everyone's bank screens... see how this might be a problem.

A quick digression - bonds, as I'm sure you know, go down in market value when the interest rates go up - something that has been happening a lot lately. They may also go down in value if it looks like the issuer will go bankrupt - so if you are a bank and want ""low risk"" assets, then you'll buy US treasuries as there is ""no"" risk of the US failing to pay it's debts... lets ignore for now the validity of that statement...

ANYWAYS, to remedy this whole situation, enter the FED. Since US gov bonds will eventually pay out the face value, the gov can swap cash for people's bonds at FACE value not at the much lower market value. This means the money is there when those silicon valley nerds go to withdraw, BUT, no "new" money has really been created - just shuffling the market value of assets. I hope this answers your question.

Goblinas are too thicc. Thicc people remind me of poop because they must be eating, shidding, and farding all day to maintain their bulbous cellulitic forms. They probably smell like pee too. I prefer skinny pale bitches with slim waists, flat tummies, and Type A personalities who order one sandwich and can't finish half of it because I'm a low-test manlet (and that's a good thing).

If youre referencing the fact that 4 black americans traveling to Mexico for cheap cosmetic surgery were kidnapped and two were killed and the cartel later apologized / handed over the assailants for it....that is something cartel has done before.

Every few years a Mexican cartel ends up having one of their retarded greedy henchmen crews trying to rob Americans for money. Usually the cartel always goes out of their way to suppress this kind of new, but if they the news comes out, then they do PR stunts like handing over the kidnappers and apologizing publicly, basically telling the US govt "no please don't clamp down on us"

Question: Options contracts and futures are priced in such a way that they assert the probability distribution the market thinks is likely to happen.

Is there something similar with discounted cash flow models and stock prices? I know that Discounted future cash flows sum up to stock value, but there's an infinite number of ways you could estimate the earnings to get the same number. If you have a yearly discount of say 5% you could make 50 million this year or 55 million next year for instance and the npv should be the same. But do people really imagine it that way?

Either there is a standard assumption about the distribution of earnings (ie earnigns are expected to grow or decline at a mathematically defined rate or probability) or clearly stipulated earnings forecasts that say (earnigns for year 1,2,3... will be x,y,z) are determining prices.

My question is, is there an assumed distribution that the market is assuming when pricing, Or is it all earnings forecasts? and if it is forecasts, where is the best source?

I mean, even if we had a plan to get married and have kids, wouldn't the sex still be gone in the same way?? I'm starting to see no way out of this unless I want to dump her or cheat

i love Grocery Outlet. I'm not really even a poorfag but that place saves me sooo much money. yes, their items are lower quality and the groceries aren't great, but the deals on non-perishables and wine are amazing.

When it comes to buying veggies / fruits or other produce at really good price points, my pick is Trader Joes. The quality is mid-high tier but the prices are super affordable. If Trader Joes did an IPO i would buy the fuck outta them.

I don't even have an Amazon account and mostly do Walmart pickup orders. There is no Costco within hours of here but there's some things I need (health related) that I get drop shipped from there off eBay because of the price on those specific items being significantly lower than Equate. Here in clown world Walmart are saints compared to Amazon.

Yes they are on the hook for liquidity and yes if the banks default they will probably write those loans to zero but they are not buying treasuries currently. Though they are currency swapping because the fed loves ethnic whores

Yes, but in that case it wouldn't matter, because starting a family would be more important to you than sex. If a family isn't a priority for you at this time with this woman, then you shouldn't have started down the path to domesticity. Consider it a lesson learned... Like I said, I learned it myself a few years ago

The consumer appears strong, yes, but the business outlook is deteriotating rapidly, a lot of measures show business is not healthy.. So higher for longer with more impact to the broader economy.

just going to be that much harder to get back on healthy footing. WITHOUT stoking inflation.

I still think sex is important even after having a family. Almost nothing is more depressing to me than the idea of settling down into a sexless marriage with an otherwise great family life, it just feels like a huge bait and switch. It feels like a weird time in my life because we're probably getting close to getting married but I still want to fuck the shit out of someone, and if it's not her I don't know what to do

Uh there's no costco here. WMT and KR and few other chain stores though. Some things me and the wife will just buy on Amazon or WMT online and have shipped just cause it's cheaper or easier.Or you can't get it anywhere else. I used to use NewEgg a lot for computer parts but not so much anymore. (Used to be a loophole in the state tax law where buying things from online stores without a physical presence in the state got you out of paying tax for those things but they closed it so your shafted no mater what)

Exactly the same here, just those 2 and Dollar General Market. There's one independent grocer that was originally founded and owned by a local family but sold to an out of state individual a while back. They are "sky high" on a lot of shit now so fuck them. I've come to an unforeseen point in life where if everything closed but Walmart I'd be fine with it, other than the positive effects of just having some competition to keep prices lower, which is literally all that the others matter to me. I stood on Sam Walton's private jet 1 on 1 and shook his hand at a tiny county airport back in the 1980s. At the time he was the richest man in the USA and had no one else with him, flew the jet himself.

That's one of the main reasons a lot of marriages end in divorce. It's a disconnect in expectations. Sure, once in a while some man will get lucky and find a woman who provides both a great family life and a great sex life... but that's very rare. And, it seems like you can already tell that that's not what you're going to get with this woman. You don't even have a family yet and already the sex has slowed down. Your last real chance here is to try getting a lot more assertive about what you want. Don't say you're unhappy or thinking of breaking up, because you don't want it to sound like a threat... but if being more open and up front about what you want out of the relationship doesn't work, then sticking around basically makes you a simp. Over time, you'll lose respect for yourself, and she'll lose respect for you too, and then she'll leave anyway. Again... I speak from experience.

I mean the fed has the ability since its founding to have balance sheet. They just neglected to use it for much until 08 and then covid hit and they went all in. Theyre doing it because everyone is demanding USD. If they didnt the fed wouldnt need more liquidity as dollars would be flush in the environment.
