litecoin was supposed to be the crypto that you use for everyday purchases like buying coffee. Hence they created litecoin as a carbon-copy of bitcoin except with 4x faster block times. However these days the bitcoin lightning network is faster and cheaper to use than litecoin, so IMO litecoin is a useless, obsolete crypto whose price will asymptotically approach zero over the coming years.

Most exchanges don't use lighting, ltc is massively used for big transactions

isn't XRP still the cheapest option for on-chain transactions?

back in 2017 I needed to move a bunch of assets across exchanges, so I converted everything to XRP and moved that because the transaction cost was like $0.04 or something

What does it mean I Should buy LTC? What's a good app to buy a small amount of ltc on ($500ish)?

>> No.54296443

Litecoin is a perfect example of why you should never buy things that are copycats of more established things. It's entire appeal was that it's a slightly better version of bitcoin, until bitcoin became faster to transact, so now it's obsolete.

How many ETH clones have you seen over the years which promised to be the 'new/better/faster/cheaper/more scalable' version of ETH? And none of them last.

Litecoin has historically been referred to as the "silver to Bitcoin's gold."[6][7][8]

XRP is so centralized it doesn't exist in several countries due to laws.

it depends on your country were to buy it, just sent it to a software waller or a hardware wallet after buying.

I am very bullish but the choice is yours in the end, do your research.

it's a p2p currency with literally 0 fees, it's not reasonable to keep it in an exchange, move it to a wallet and learn how to use crypto, no better crypto to learn than litecoin due to the absurdly low fees.
