I like Schwab and Global X right now, but Vanguard is probably considered the elite for divy funds. Low to lowest fees, large pools of money, long history of success. But, like all forms of business, the maxim to never put all your eggs in one basket is wisely heeded, imo. And you don't want to be in competition with yourself between the accounts. Don't buy S&P500 ETF from Fidelity and a S&P500 Mutual Fund from Schwab, they'll be trading against each other, for example. There are a few BlueChips that aren't terrible expensive that also pay divy. I think if I believed this was absolutely bottom of the market tomorrow, and there would be no recession risk, I'd put at least something into REITs, maybe an REIT ETF if there is one. Honestly, I'm not in a cash position to buy and hold, I'm running on day-trade mindset to try to put back enough so I can do long holds. My longest holds are stocks I bought when I wanted to be an investor, but they went sour and I'm too proud to cut losses, especially since I think they're still solid businesses. For me, if I knew tomorrow was the bottom, I'd probably just sell Friday puts.
