Why does BTC always seem to dump quicker that it goes up?

Because BTC is primarily held by the dumbest of the dumb herd mentality retards. When they see "line go down" they get scared and sell every time, which only accelerates the rate at which "line go down". The line hits bottom when all the mouth breathers have finished panic selling.

True. At the end of the day it's a good advertisement for the Trezor model T.
I love my Trezor device as it allows me to sleep soundly knowing my crypto is not on an exchange. It's also difficult to move and a total pain in the ass to sell so it stops me from being a degenerate swing trader.
Highly recommend/120

If you want the actual answer... Buying is by definition a non-profitable position. You also rarely have a clear cut 'buy' signal. So its a tepid and timid entry process. Usually a DCA. On the flip side, following a margin of price gain, the entry of ones position could be profitable. Therefore selling a larger position at a single moment will be profitable. Few people DCA out of a position. Rather, they capture the bird in hand profits.

nobody really has buy orders set for when price goes up (price is 20k, nobody sets a market buy order if price hits 21k)

but many people set stop losses if price goes down (price is 20k, sell all if price hits 19k)

dumb fuck a handful of institutions pumped bitcoin no one else bought it at 27k or even 23k so anyone that bought low 20-21k or even 16k a few months ago are selling it now you need to look at volume you'll see volume gaps everywhere it pumped in those gaps you can expect the price to skip right past it on the way down because no one has a reason to hold that price because almost no one bought at that price
