How do you choose the right bank?
My entire adult work life (11 years) I've used the same bank. Bank of America. The only reason is because it was the closest bank to my parents house from when I got my first job.

I'm 28 now and I'm self employed. I have my business account and my personal account. Both with Bank of America. I was listening to the Dave Ramsey show and he mentioned that BoA was so bad he couldn't imagine why anyone would bank with them.
Thanks to crypto gains that I cashed out, I am 100% debt free and only have a couple credit cards I use just for credit building purposes. I dont use the bank for anything other than holding my money.

Is there any reason I should switch to different bank

Dave Ramsey's audience is hillbillies and niggers who pay overdraft fees so of course he's going to say that.

Someone shilled me Fidelity here for money management and they were right it's far superior to any bank ever, and you have immediate access to stock trading. You can have something like 20 accounts for different purposes they all come with debit cards and it's all free. My direct deposits are available a day early and you get refunded for ATM withdrawals. When you give them money they filter it through THEIR bank which is probably some giant multi trillion dollar conglomerate bank so your money feels safer too.

I have no idea why I didn't start using it sooner honestly not even a shill just sharing that some anon here changed my financial life with it I didn't understand that you don't NEED a bank, I always thought you NEEDED a bank. The fact that apps like fidelity existed never crossed my mind.

I went to Discover about 6 years ago due to better interest rates on their savings account, plus I already had a credit card there. Currently getting 3.6% back, but I'm seeing some other banks offering 4.4% and wondering if I should switch up.

Interesting. I'll look onto it anon.

I'm not saying Dave Ramsey is the best source of advice. But a lot of times he isn't wrong. The callers on his show plput themselves into retarded situations sometimes and its fun to hear

Enough about the fucking jannies.
I did this too. I just chose the closest bank to where I lived, U.S. Bank.
Maybe people start their own banks with actual gold in reserve?

just fyi corpo shills moderate on plebbit. Its not just spergs doing it for free. Some corpos got heat cause they openly admitted moderating their own products subreddits but you can be certain its a general trend cause its what makes most sense.

Fidelity is kino, they handle 8 figure transactions like it's nothing.

Banks are for loans and semitic trickery

Isn’t Bank of America the one that’s giving out no down payment mortgages to prey on new home buyers?
