I'm afraid to spend money on anything. I really want to buy a new desktop PC and an indoor gym but I'm terrified of seeing my bank account lower.

Like the new desktop PC, do you really need it?
for what? (besides videogames).
If it increases your productivity go for it, if it helps you finish your projects then go for it. if it doesnt improve your life in any way then dont spend that money on Bullshit. look for opportunities instead.

The indoor Gym is different it is an investment into yourself.
never feel bad for spending money on improving yourself.
