Historically, Avalanche (ticker: AVAX) tends to have its own run despite market sentiment, and it's made for long-term hodls rather than swinging or day trading. If you feel this is not suitable for you, you're more than free to sell your $2k on AVAX and move on to your shitcoin of choice.
However, AVAX's chart has been in range/distribution for a while, and just like before, once it pumps it'll be too late for those who didn't manage to get a cheap SUI. Avalanche is the biggest no-brainer in crypto since Ethereum, and is completely unrivaled in practically any technological trait.

For the first 3 years, it only cost $300 to be an eth validator.
To be an Avax validator the price never went below $6,000 unless you are ICO which was $1,000.
For the past 2 years it hasn't gone below $20,000 to become a validator.
At least with Eth and Chainlink poorfags were given a chance to make it.
The sui stack of 500 Avax was set as that was the agreed upon validator requirement they would vote to lower it as, which at the moment costs $8,500 in the middle of a bear market with a still very nonexistent DeFi (zero innovation released, and will remain so until subnets get battle tested)

That's a fair critique. Really it needs to be more like 100-200 AVAX but I'm sure avalabs won't change this until there becomes a real crunch for validators as subnets explode. 20k to be a validator is a bit ridiculous especially since you can run a node on consumer hardware easily and the protocol can easily handle a 10x increase in node count.
