Risiken aus Korrekturen an den Immobilienmärkten
Wohnimmobilien
Der Markt für Wohnimmobilien birgt nach Ansicht der BaFin derzeit systemische
Risiken. Die Hintergründe: Seit 2010 steigen am deutschen Wohnimmobilienmarkt die
Preise stetig (siehe Abbildung 2).

There's a saying as old as /smg/. It goes, "Get woke, go broke." I remember back in the 90s during the dot com bubble, Obama was giving a speech during the UNs annual drag queen story day, and some one in smg watching the stream was like, Fuck you Obama get woke go broke, and it ultimately led to a couple Anons going out to the Bitcoin mines and with their pick axes they mined the first couple of bitcoins. Good times.

I remember it being nearly $5 a gallon in my small town. One place, that was one of the last full service cash only places, dropped their price by 25 cents a gallon compared to every other station and they had a 2 mile line and ran out in 3 hours. It was midday too and the line blocked the path my school bus had to take and we waited 30 minutes to get out of it. My mom and sister were actually in that line and I found out when no one was home and they got back an hour later, went 3 times to fill up all the cars. Good bad times.

You will need foreign troops on the ground eventually if Ukraine is going to “win”. However, the people of Ukraine “winning” is not a goal NATO has with the war they are building up too in Ukraine. Winning would be annihilation of the entire Russian military and Putin being deposed with a pro-democracy premier. Neither of which will happen unless you have a surge of foreign troops to man the tanks and fly the planes.

I don't see how rate pauses are bullish. That would signal that the FED thinks something is fundamentally wrong, which every CB in the world is trying to denie at the moment. They said two weeks ago inflation is still a problem. A pause would look inflationary, which itself is a driver of inflation. Not good.

american infrastructure basically hit a wall in the 90s/00s after enough local and federal government involvement became required to ensure that literally fucking nothing ever happens. even if it got all the approval needed to start, a big project like a japan-tier maglev train would get twice as much funding as it actually needed, then, if we're being optimistic, get a quarter of it done before running out of money thanks to corruption siphoning cash out of the project and needing more funding. california is a great example of this. it took billions of dollars and about 15 years of bullshit to START construction on a bullet train with 800 miles of track, and now it's basically cancelled unless the federal government comes in and gives more money. now imagine this, spanning as many states as you would need to go from CA to NY with all their own rules and leeches ready to take a piece of the pie. completely fucked

Expensive. In the short term sure as long as you are selling for profit and not getting heem'd by taxes but in the long term nah especially if the Long Term Capital Gains is raised or something retarded like an unrealized capital gains tax is passed since you'll be getting taxed harder then a slower grower like QQQ and VOO "lol as if the congress will tax their own pensions and investments".

Also leveraged etfs carry the tiny risk of getting liquidated and rebalance daily. Also you recieve no dividends meaning there is no cash flow being produced meaning the only avenue for growth is selling.

I'm a Boglehead it's just my perspective there is a reason you aren't supposed to hold them unless you are a high IQ or Low IQ gigachad.

If you’re shorting on leverage and bothered by a 2% drawdown you’re fucking hysterical.

I honestly though, playing directional before the fomc meeting doesn’t feel very good. Im just selling vol and delta hedging until the 24th with options against my stock positions, and holding cash to take advantage of a directional move due to the fomc.

I don’t think there’s any reason to pounce before the numbers lock in. But you should expect drawdowns of like 10 to 15% and feel nothing if you’re playing a strategy like the one you’re doing.
