Genuine question.
How do people (like yourself) buy into cryptocurrencies when there's little if any regulation, hacks, failures of whole exchanges, and so forth? The leader of the biggest exchange just basically said he was gong to buy bitcoin to increase the price, and he knows explicitly what shorts/longs are available on his exchange (and likely others), basically saying fuck you to one side of his traders. FTX knew this inside info too and people still put money into the game. In fact FTX token is STILL traded!
I understand cryptocurrency has valid uses, but I just don't understand how you guys put so much time and money into it. Maybe its because I'm older than most here, but I prefer the flow of stock markets...they have their problems there too, but no where near the level crypto has attained in such short order.

Because if you aren't a complete retard you keep your coins in a custodial wallet under multiple security measures and don't leave shittons of money on exchanges. One of the main ways that crypto is "risky" is because it's incredibly easy to steal it from retards and by exploits, but any reasonable holder should know how to mitigate these risks.

First, I dont care about vulnerability flaws because most of my money is into security/anonimity projects like marlin protocol and monero.

Second, I dont care about btc because I'm trading niche shit that matters very little in the grand scheme of things.
