Kids with wealthy parents are usually burnouts pretty often. Its the reason familial wealth is usually all gone just after one generation. My mom grew up poor and my new stepdad is wealthy. My mom has to manage the money because he loves to spend it. His kids make good money but they are really bad spenders and likely don't have the same career trajectory. Was a shitcoin millionaire for a moment and my lifestyle didn't change much because my money still basically had the same buying power. If I were to all of a sudden become a spender then even if I had $1m in physical cash, it would last about as long as a market downturn. Not sure if I will get out of 6 figure hell again, but one thing I have learned is that developing proper spending habits is just as important as making the money.
