Companies have primarily white male leadership. They aren't going to give up their leadership role so they instead promote diversity quotas on regular employees, leading many corporations to promote at low/mid levels based on identity rather than merit. Companies, especially publicly traded ones, have to do this to keep up with Blackrock diversity demands or else their stock will get rugpulled. The largest beneficiary of all this nonsense has been white women, who are for some reason valued as diversity. White women in many sectors are grossly overranked relative to their abilities and efforts, leading to emotional decisions and lack of direction.
However the days of cheap money are over and now companies are trimming the fat and stockpiling all the white men and Asians they can get. When times get tough, meritocracy takes over.

I applied to a family run nursing home years ago, they needed someone for website and other technical stuff, decent sized operation but small. They specifically wanted a college kid for part time work and I was over qualified and a junior. The business was black owned and operated and had been for decades, most of their customers were also older black people in the nursing home.

Weeks went by and I never heard from them, then the listing was removed from Indeed and I figured they had found someone. Then a few days later, the same listing reappeared, and it said I had "not yet applied to this job". I could only conclude that they got my application but saw that I was white, discarded it, removed the listing and re listed it so as to restart the application process with new people. I suppose there could be a number of reasons they did this but this was the first time in my life I felt like I got shafted for being white. The fact it was a black business only drove that feeling home and Im not naturally a very racist person.

My job literally tried every mudskin/woman they could find, they all failed, and now that there's literally no one else they're putting me in the position...the guy who has never been late, fucked up a job, taken much PTO, and my production is way ahead of average
