I'm not even American but I have invested all of my money in dividend ETFs, now people talk about possible bankruptcies. What kinda shit is this, banks are fine even in my shitty country but they fail in US. Okay there is something called SIPC that is supposed to give my money back if my brokerage fails, but one, I don't even know how am I gonna get the money from them and two, they only pay up to 250k. And most Americans make retirement plans with these ETFs. What are they gonna do if ETFs fail?
