I think it ultimately hinges on them even being able to get their money onto the exchanges. if the banks go tits up then liquidity is gone. It has to be a scenario where enough big names run into very serious trouble and any bank run has to be narrative shifted towards a retreat to crypto and not withdrawing cash.
