There's no systemic risk, according to the analysts. How can this not be a buying opportunity?

By "systematic risk", they mean that there won't be contagion that affects other banks because all depositors will be accounted for. Individual banks can and probably will still fail. The Fed/government was very clear that executives and investors can still lose everything.

This is a buy. They do not have the same risk exposure svb had. Got my longs ready

There is a huge risk in buying the stock of one of these banks. The government can decide to shut down the bank whenever they want and make the price go to zero. That's what we just saw.

I agree its a massive opportunity to buy, but you have to make sure it's the right bank that will not fail, but is on a discount due to all the fear in the air. Zion is my chosen bank. No retarded crypto bs, most funds are not in treasuries, and is overall liquid. As such, this 60% drop that just happened will bounce back and I'll have a fortune. Also, don't forget that right now, Implied Volatility is through the roof, so selling options is a good idea. I have a covered call on zion, and iron condors on basically every bank I can get my hands on.

I've only been investing for about two years, but all the healthy returns I've had were from pulling the trigger when others were shitting their pants.

It probably is.
Back when the Russian invasion started and sanctions started rolling ING crashed. Bought a bag then, and I'm now sitting at +50% gains.

It absolutely can be. I put 1500 into bowl FRC and WAL. Just realize that was >>54099733 says, it's also a huge risk. Which is why I'm only putting in 1500, if it goes up it's a couple of quick free Ks, if it goes south I'm only out 1500, I'll make that back in literally a week. Don't bet the house on it but if you have some cash for gambling, why the fuck not?
