Because the concept is shit.
A creator has to kyc his wallet in order to get tips from his supporters who also have to kyc their wallets. Kyc doesn't work with most exchanges and in some countries, Germany for example.
Instead creators can literally just post their addresses as qr codes and their supporters can tip them any tokens they want, no kyc required, works everywhere.

Last year we had threads and we all agreed that if the roadmap will be shit and Brave won't drastically improve their ways then we will all dump our stacks. The fee to tip a creator is 5%, plus swap & exchange withdrawal fees afterwards. Tipping use case is already filled by the Bitcoin lightning network, Monero, and Doge, which have almost zero fees and no KYC. Even Brave realizes this, which is probably why they're chasing NFTs now.
