Because Coinmetro is associated with a very risky asset class in crypto. Because easy financing hs been killed off by rate hikes. Because very competitive businesses already exist doing more or less what Coinmetro wants to do. Because we appear to be, as or Friday, tipping into another financial crisis. general idea is to shard PoW with UTXOs (stateful UTXOs) because Cheng felt ETH was just stalling and with PoS you'd just have it harder to scale (e.g. their beacon chain proposal is a bottleneck)
they have a custom DSL as SC language as well (just like KDA)
but their intrachain and cross-chain transactions are the same
with the cost that you can't scale infinitely and that the 'growing state' issue is worse than in KDA (but obviously much better than in vertical scaling)
they use PoLW instead of POW to use proof of burn when hash rate is high enough to reduce energy consumption and allow smaller entities to take part in mining

They are making lots of money. Coinbase is the best example because they are pretty transparent with their earnings reports and how much stock they dumped on retail after their IPO. They lost a shitload of money running an unprofitable business and the people who own the exchange still got super rich.

It's not though. The devs have a mint function and are inflating the value away constantly. Unlike Bcore where miners will eventually work for free to ensure 1 BTC = 1 BTC. Unless someone made an illegal transaction with one of the Bitcoins 10 years ago and it gets blacklisted.
Until we get people to abandon the idea of stability being a core feature of money crypto can't replace fiat. Line go up is much better than stability. Stability is boring.

Mint function? We don't need anything ponzi like that. You put one dollar in you get one dollar marketcap by simply just storing the dollar on the blockchain. I think devs need to just focus on making a dollar on-chain and not a yield factory and it will be fine. If for examle Circle stored the USD backing USDC on chain instead of banks and instead of earning interest with our deposits it's just a simple non-profit organization I think crypto will benefit greatly.

Since $1 is $1 this is not a problem. Then we have 1 trillion dollars stored on chain. There is not a need for the liquidity because as you of course are aware you do not need to exchange a real dollar for another real dollar, this only a problem with interest security.
