How do I locate a manufacturer in Asia to make items for my dropshipping business?

You can contact them on Alibaba.

Thank you for the relevant, suitable and unironic genuine answer anon.
Can I request them to make novel products if I give them a design brief of how I want them to look?

Upwork sourcing agent from the country you want to produce and import.

I strongly recommend Vietnam or Malaysia over China though. Even China itself imports from and outsources to them now. Good luck.

You need to be careful that they don't steal your design because they can and might. The best option is to go to China or get a really good and trustworthy enough (never 100% trustworthy) source if you can't go there

They absolutely WILL if it's worth selling. he'd need decades of experience and reputation, as well as actual Chinese partners with connections in their fucked up legal system, if he wants to avoid ip theft.

The best thing to do is order components from multiple manufacturers and "assembled in America".

Jing sourcing in China is reputable, and supposedly legal connected. Still recommend elsewhere in se Asia.

DON'T BOTHER WITH INDIA. It's an absolute horror show. They are 40-50 years behind fucking Cambodia for efficienctly producing and moving stuff out of the country.

With importing, there's only one way to find out. Order samples and pray that the landed good are the same quality.

Get a top notch broker. You can have them do inspections prior to fob, but it's expensive.

They will only steal it if it gets big. I wouldn’t worry about it unless you were making machines/information tech.

Thanks for the advice. By broker do you mean the same thing as a source agent? How much of a cut do they usually take?

Remember, contrary to popular belief, the chinks are very much a "you get what you pay for" culture. You try to chisel them and you'll get 2nd run or deliberate trash goods.

>> No.53983794

>>53983705
What do you imagine would so them from filling your order then making their own and undercutting you on price?
Your point of difference will be your point of sale, so it doesn't invalidate your plan, a consideration is if it matters if they duplicate the design

>> No.53983823

>>53983780
Nah. It's a whole different, insanely complicated, thing. A decent sourcing agent may be able to set you up with a good freight broker, but try to find your own in the US.

Head over to thefastlaneforum.com if you're actually serious about this. There's A LOT of moving parts to flowing containers.

>> No.53983897

>>53983823
Fuck that sounds complicated, Id rather just stick to conventional dropshipping for now so I dont have to organise shipping myself

>> No.53984107

>>53983897
Yeah, I think I misunderstood your original question. Stranger things have happened, but I don't think you're going to find anyone (sourcing agent or manufacturer) that will produce custom design items for dropshipping.

Custom print, sure, but not actual manufacturing.

Try using Alibaba RFQ where you post the product you want made and suppliers apply to you.

Then check each companies profile and only work with ones that do a lot of revenue

>buy a ticket and see the factories and the quality of the products
Yup. And the quality of the factory. The factory will also have design showrooms full of samples. You're also more likely to get what you want face to face. I'm planning to do this soon for a product I have in mind.

>> No.53989745

>>53983482
I can vouch for Alibaba. I’ve sourced two different manufacturers on there and it’s great for bootstrap upstarts. Depending on product they can customize the manufacturing within reason but if you want something truly bespoke it will obviously cost more. It’s nice to have the FOB pricing and Trade Assurance when you’re a small fry.

You’ll have to get a freight forwarder stateside to help you navigate customs and get your product to a fulfillment warehouse company or to you. Stateside LCL and LTL logistics can be stupid expensive though so you should try to order full containers of products.

>> No.53989788

>>53989745
Oh and the killer for Chinese stuff will be QA. You really gotta stay on top of them or else quality will inevitably start going downhill. Sooner or later you will need to visit the factories in person.

The mysterious Red Rabbit token had been advertised on the 4chan message board for months, claiming to be an arbitrage bot with the potential to yield huge returns. Speculation ran rampant as to who had created such a powerful and mysterious tool, but no one could provide any concrete answers. When the token finally launched in August of 2023, it quickly went viral as investors eagerly poured their money into the new venture. Little did they know that their investment was about to skyrocket. By the end of the year, the Red Rabbit bot had yielded a 1000x return on the original investment, leaving many investors in shock and awe. With no one able to explain the secrets behind the mysterious token, the Red Rabbit's success remains a mystery.
