I sold covered calls on Friday. Niggers don't lose money unless they click sell and that's not my problem if they are retarded. Shit has 20-30% days both directions all the time and if you can't handle that you shouldn't be buying it. I have been trading, posting natural gas trades here in /smg/, discussing natural gas in /smg/, for 3 years.
I have explained natural gas markets, helped spoonfeed anons to understand natural gas, written analyses after analyses, for 3 years.
You read my analyses, and went short natural gas. We had many discussions about it, where you were asking me questions that I answered for you.
Then, after natural gas did play out like I said it did, you tried to claim credit for short natural gas, that you had been the one shilling it
You never once made an 'effort post' explaining to people why they should be short natural gas
You never once posted your theses of being short natural gas - you never helped anons in /smg/ get short natural gas
You just posted your position after the fact, and then tried to claim that you were me
And now, you have incurred 25% losses on people in /smg/, because they trusted you, thinking that you were me

Can you USnigs dump the market already? Unless you guys deliver, we will keep pumping over here in the EU. Hell, the ECB made it clear today that another four 50 bps are in play and the market just played it off like it's nothing. The EU banks are pussies that never deliver. As such, we follow the FED. So please, don't chicken out Powell and don't do a fuckin 25 bps.
I cannot imagine anyone believing that 25bps is a good idea. That shit just doesn't do anything. The core inflation just keeps increasing and so do food prices and services... why is only Powell taking this shit seriously (well, at least more seriously than all the others)?

Taking profits and hedging with covered calls is objectively less risky than kold at these levels. We should be on the same team but you keep acting like an uppity nerd about everything. There is zero fucking risk to buy and hold BOIL at these levels while KOLD options could -100%

Agreed, it was OK for about 2 years (before that the crust tasted like literal cardboard and the toppings weren't much better, now it's as you say). However, normalfags will not start doing groceries when everyone tells them it's 10x more expensive than before, so they'll stick to domino's or mcd and the likes: cheap, convenient, doesn't matter how shit it gets to keep the prices. If dpz announces price increases, it may be a sell signal, depends what the rest of the fast food industry is doing.

It is easy to demonstrate that bond bulls are the slow kids in the class: just go watch a few vids late 2020 early 2021 of them predicting deflation. Hell even in /biz/ we had some of them doing that.

>"Inflation, heh, bet you didn't know... akshully, the Fed doesn't print money. That's right, you see QE is deflationary! What, M2 going up? No that doesn't mean anything ignore that."

That being said, I'm still looking at TUA because now the market is being retarded in the other direction: thinking inflation can sustain itself magically without M2 rising under it or an oil supply shock (and we have neither). They always miss the regime changes because they are fucked up on the basics.

The teamster union is ran by a COMMUNIST. He is a supporter and supported by Bernie CommieSanders. In his own words he will bring UPS to it's knees and pulverize UPS if they don't give them what they want. They want to increase wages for all part time workers and eliminate the seniority of UPS drivers.

It's an easy short because if UPS gives the union what they want it will significantly reduce their profit margin. They will be forced to increase prices contributing to more inflation and their stock prices will fall.

If they don't and UPS drivers on strike. This is a lottery SHORT WIN. UPS AMAZON e-commerce will all get "pulverized".

Well, M2 isn't an end-all-be-all. Moishe Goldberg's investment company defaulting on a $100 loan doesn't affect Joe Blow circulating an extra $100 because prices are going up and he negotiated a raise and prices are going up again and he negotiated another raise.

Nor is oil an end-all-be-all. Labor is just as much a component in everything and shortages from retarded Zoomers replacing competent Boomers (and being less productive), working fewer hours, or giving up entirely function just like OPEC slashing a couple million barrels.

Labor supply problems is a decent point, and we had many boomers decide to fuck off to the golf course for good. >There's no wage price spiral.
If the Fed didn't jerk themselves off for nearly a year and dilly dally, no there wouldn't have been. But now we're seeing the people who are actively shopping for new jobs demanding more. People who this year "only" got a 5% bump hopping to understaffed competitors. Unanchored expectations.

>It's always an excuse by the political class to distract from money printing (because they like printing) as the culprit.
That's the same kind of reasoning people use when saying "greedy corporations cause inflation". People are always greedy for higher wages, what's changed is that 10 million job openings allow them to get them.

>Other half is energy
Worth noting here that, unless Biden ramps up the planned SPR sales even more, energy has bottomed. There goes that deflationary headwind.

>Which is why JPow is trying to crush their folios and coax them back for part time work.
He tried at Jackson Hole. And gave up as of last month. "Uh, I say financial conditions have actually loosened. I don't mind this market rally." was pretty clear.

Wage shopping is merely the price of labor slowly adjusting to input costs rising, it drives nothing. It is far downstream symptom, not a cause. This is keynesian/mmt propaganda to deflect blame from printing.

Job openings are fake. Bullshit metric.

>energy has bottomed

Why should it rip? Do we have an oil shortage? Lack of production?

JPow already suspects he overdid it, and we're just waiting to see the impact. RRP is the airbag to be deployed for that 'soft landing' which is still gonna hurt.

>Wage shopping is merely the price of labor slowly adjusting to input costs rising, it drives nothing. It is far downstream symptom, not a cause.
Labor shortages and people experiencing sticker shock are the upstream cause. That's why it's called a *spiral*, because their negotiated higher salaries feed back into that.

>This is keynesian/mmt propaganda to deflect blame from printing.
Money printing can also be a cause, but, just like tons of QE didn't create 10% daily inflation, tons of QT/money destruction on idle bank balance sheets don't impact the real world. Stimulus money printing can. Prices being bid up for energy or labor can. Lots of things can. You have to consider them all.

And energy doesn't need to rip (although Russia announcing that sanctions are knocking out 0.5% of global oil production and counting is concerning). It can remain steady, tied to labor and materials prices, gradually ticking up at 5% per year. That alone kills any return to 2% inflation.

And if you think our anemic return to pre-pandemic domestic production can fix that, I'll remind you that OPEC countries have budgets they balance.

It does, just not as quickly as you expected. If they were to continue this level of bond destruction indefinitely it would be less than a year or two before the entire system collapsed. All loans are deflationary, that's why they start new rounds of QE all the time.

also people want the market to go up so they bid it up when it dips thinking that's the bottom. No one really complains when they start QE because you buy stocks and line go up.
When they're tightening people are still trying to make line go up, so its less noticeable. But those dip buyers are running out of money. without higher inflation stonks won't go up during tightening.

No there is not a feedback effect. There is only a system seeking equilibrium. Once again, bullshit theory. Labor supply shortage is a separate force which is legit IMO.

Money supply didn't grow much from early QE, so it didn't cause much demand pull. In 2020 it did so it did yugely, so we saw the CPI rip on about a ~1.5 yr lag as has been well studied (asset prices show it immediately tho, to be clear). We're about to see CPI dip hard this year.

More broadly: QE has always been printing to cover the shortfall in credit creation. Blood transfusion for a sickly patient. They just overdid it in 2020.

Also in the 2010s we had the shale oil revolution whereby the oil producers lit money on fire to produce oil unprofitably and shower us with a glut of oil supply: a huge deflationary force opposite 2000-2010. But, as you said, this is done. Oil has little to do with what is happening. Labor and de-globalization IS a bit of it. Collapsing credit creation and effective money supply is most of the story currently.

It's not a delay. It's that dollars are not interchangeable. If/when a credit event impacts main street, there'll be the deflation/QE/stimulus spending. But we're not there and the current dip in M2 doesn't indicate that. Instead what's happening is

>Chaim owns a $2b mortgage on an NYC office tower
>He also owns $1b in credit card debt

Chaim and Moishe get in an argument over the mortgage. Joe Gentile is crushed by inflation, putting more money on his credit cards.

>Chaim now owns a $1b mortgage
>He also owns $1.1b in credit card debt

M2 has ticked down almost 50%, but the actual money supply we care about has ticked up 10% because Chaim and Moishe were not doing anything with their money anyway.
