I have a business where I sell the same thing at different prices based on who I am selling to. Prices fluctuate all the time as well (it's restaurant supply)
Is there a way to still put prices on my website? What is the best way to go about doing this?
I was thinking of letting them put the items in their 'basket' and that automates an email for me to give them the price.
Thanks, it seems like it would be a common problem, so I'm sure there's a great way of doing it I haven't come accross

very based. couldn't you just have a "for quote" rather then a price?

You could do it by IP address and location but customers could just use a VPN.

You could adjust the prices based on shipping location.

You can also have customers create an account and track them that way.

yeah but I would like to give them some kind of idea, like a 40 pound case of ribs is like $240, but don't want them pissed when the bill says 250

creating an account is a great idea for me to play around with, thank you

just put the higher price and tell everyone in private that you are doing a very special discount for them

Just make sure you meet the lawful criteria for a discriminatory prices, cause otherwise you will be fined.

I'm not going to put the price higher than I'm actually going to sell it for
>>53929745
it's the nature of what I buy and sell. Price changes everyday, there is no bait and switch

have you tried making separate websites? Maybe just make each restaraunt register with your site, when they register, then you show them a menu with prices catered to them. General public can't see prices unless they register as a restaurant.

I know that's how the irl restaurant supply works in my city. General public can't shop there, you need a membership card and you only get that if you actually have a restaurant or food business

we simply misunderstand each other

eh, I'm thinking of it more as something to help acquire new customers, luckily my city doesn't have to do all that. is the company your talking about a big one like sysco?
