But in honesty, a CEX isn't a bank, and they're not your friend.
Sending them your crypto is risky.

It's like if some guy in a nice suit knocked on your door and said "I know a guy who's selling bitcoin, give me $5000 and I'll use it to buy bitcoin for you."

The smart person says: "here's $5000, but please come back immediately and give me the bitcoin."
Idiots say: "Sure, here's $5000. Go buy the bitcoin, but don't worry about coming back. Just give me an IOU."

Why would you accept an IOU? Because he's wearing a nice suit?

It's stupid to assume that the guy will still be around when you want the bitcoin.
