you get to
>take 3 semesters of Calculus
>differential equations
>calculus based physics
>calculus static mechanics
>material science & chemistry
>stress analysis on solid bodies
>advanced fluid dynamics
>two years of thermodynamics
>mechanics of heat transfer
>advanced controls systems
>computation fluid modeling
>computational stress modeling
>3D modeling & mechanical design
>electronic design
>PLC and robotics
>work in a machine shop
>have at least relevant 1 internship
>~congrats 2/3 people failed~
>graduate and apply to 200 jobs
>compete with nepotism
>work with blue collar retards
>potentially dangerous working hazards

Congrats you now earn 1/2 the salary of someone who did a 12 week bootcamp and does JavaScript from home

Damn, Larry Lawton is looking like shit lately.

One of the worst decisions in my life, my CS friends are making at least 5x of what I make, and most of them either working remotely or in Europe while I'm getting hammered by meme currency devaluation. Just an advice for anyone reading this, if you wanna go for a degree then go for CS, fon't listen to anyone tells you it's saturated or only top developers are getting paid much, the lowest salary was already higher enough, and the current layoffs are mostly useless programmers, women and old fag who couldn't keep up with new technologies, also the excessive hires during covid, the market is growing and there aren't enough talents to fill it

For your information, I have a masters in mathematics and started a phd but leetcoding right now and will quit the phd if I get a software job because what else I'm going to do?
Also the 12 week bootcampers don't make much I think

wrong my friend did a bootcamp without relevant undergrad or experience then got a six figure offer immediately

>3 semesters calculus
wolfram alpha
>differential equations
wolfram alpha
>"calculus" enginigger physics
algebra common sense problems
>"calculus" enginigger mechanics
more algebra common sense problems
>material science blah blah thermodynamics
test curve wolfram alpha halfass homework teachers dont care students cheat anyways
>computational blah blah 3d modeling
cadmonkey whatever
>robots PLC machine shop
follow instruction book meso smart

Sip* yep that will be 60k a year no refunds get in the complain about jeet scripters line NEXT

Yep. That's why you get a mech eng degree then write software for mechanical systems, for example joining the robotics industry. You get a better undergrad experience, a better understanding of the world, and get the same high salary the faggots do.

>t. mech eng bachelor's degree w/ 220k salary crypto job

I took the CS pill but now I can't decide what tech field to pursue. Or maybe I'm just being retarded for not going balls deep into webdev yet

>> No.53843965

>>53843932
Yes you are being retarded because web dev jobs, specifically fullstack development, are the vast majority of jobs out there.

you can coast off wolfram until failing the finals. That's what filters most of the jeets out

Not sure you understand how difficult some of the higher level engineering courses are like controls systems and thermodynamics. You can't just "study" for those subjects. They require lots of conceptual intuition rather than memorization

because it's a dying field and all the middle management boomers are too butthurt about pay raises because their starting salary in 1982 was like $25k
