The housing market will "crash" 10% the most, and it's unlikely you even get that. The market has no systemic risk like it did before the 2008 collapse, there is simply no catalyst to cause a major correction. People will slurp the dip at -10% extremely aggressively in any relevant place to live such as NYC, Miami, or LA. Flyover prices are irrelevant and nobody wants to live in those shitholes.

The difference is being bearish is the mainstream consensus by most of retail and most institutions. Bulls are currently the extreme contrarian position, and have been for some years now. Boboids always larp in their heads as the underdog or contrarian but they are usually the majority, it's behavior typical of schizoids.

No. Enjoy a very temporary illusion. "Retail" is about to get schooled and Mike knows it, and has been clearly warning of it in a very calm manner, offering opportunity for retail to take what each deems to be appropriate for their own circumstances, before the worst of the worst. Just like Jerome does. Pro tip, if you wore the mask it would have filtered out all of that hopium from the air, defending each breath against the wishful deceptions. Then you could clearly hear the words of the prophets.

So as you can see, the current economy's well-being is weary and feels aversion to more of the same (likely interest rate hikes). An unspecified announcement or bad news from someone of authority will cause a change, leading to financial opportunity.

It's still not ai but some weird structure that probably has some internal combination logic. Instead of a real world and reasoning that it predicts and learns from its massive trial/error. can someone explain dividends / ex-dividend date?
I was thinking of DCAing into some high yield dividend ETFs (highest i found paid 8% apy) and then i realized that's fucking stupid.

is there any reason not to just buy 1 day before the ex-dividend date and then sell? maybe swing trade the entry and exit a bit around the date...

but is there any point at all in DCAing into a dividend ETF?

looking at these they don't seem to dump on the day of the dividend payment like they should, i thought the dividend value came directly out of the stock price. if it pays 10% the stock is supposed to dip 10% and it goes to investors? where is the money coming from?

i thought companies paid the dividend out of their profits. nuking the chart only HURTS the hodlers. why would I DCA into that?

>Brother shows up to work first, tells me he's pissed at his sister because she shared a video of him getting his ass kicked by the cops that he's going to use in a future lawsuit
>Tells me he's fine he just wants to be left alone and do his job
>In enters the sister
>She immediately comes in and starts barking at her brother like fucking women do
>He loses his shit and starts screaming at her
>She starts screaming at him
>She runs off crying
'>I tell the brother calm the fuck down and get to work
>Go to talk to sister, she's still upset, tells me she can't work with her brother anymore and quits
>boyfriend works for me too
>Tells me shes stressed out because they are 2 months behind on the mortgage
>Send the sister home and tell her to at least think about coming back to work tomorrow
>we somehow survive the day
At this point I realized I definitely needed a beer
>Leave work
>Stop in the town of Clinton on the way home to get beer
>Entire city is without power
>Fuck
>That's fine i'll just stop by the gas station next to my apartment in Tecumseh and grab beer
>Only gas station open at that hour is closed because no power due to gay ice storm
>Finally have to head over to a 3rd town.
>Head to adrian
>It's the shittiest slimiest city you can imagine
>See the 7/11
>omg the store is open
>walk in
>store is full of niggers and white trash
>don't care at this point just let me get my beer
>cash only due to system being down because of ice storm

>naturally there is a fee
>go to pay
>i'm sorry we're out of ones, I have to give you change
>get $4 in coins back as my change
>walk out
>some sleazy woman is outside smoking a cigarette
>assume she is a prostitute because Adrian is a shithole
>turns out she is a prostitute

Fucking idiot, you don't want the economy to be doing good when trying to bring inflation down under control, you fucking moron. You want unemployment going up and consumer spending going down. The longer these numbers continue to come in better than expected, the longer it takes for the Fed to bring down interest rates again. You have no idea what these current market cycles are all about, do you? You're going to go broke if you think going long based off of good economic news is actually what the markets are trying to price in right now. Markets are moving now based on whether interest rates go up or not. That's it. Good economic news means higher interest rates, which is bad for the markets. 5.5% was "priced in" on the basis that inflation would continue to keep cooling at a steady continuous pace like it has been doing these past two months. These latest reports though show it is not cooling anymore and is in fact creeping back up, meaning a .25 basis point hike in March and then holding (THIS was what was priced in since December), is now highly unlikely and the Fed will have to continue fighting inflation aggressively instead of the priced-in, softer and more passive approach that markets were assuming for 2023. The Fed at this point could even bring the funds rate up to 7% in 2023 if inflation continues to stick.

What 4% target are you talking about?

There is no reason for Fed to accepting the failure in fighting inflation. While the jobs market is hot, the Fed could just increase rates until inflation returns to current 2% target OR jobs market crack up.

Additionally, there is a little chance of partial gov bonds default if debt ceiling will not increased. In that scenario the value of USD will drop, consequentially increasing inflation further.
