I was thinking of DCAing into some high yield dividend ETFs (highest i found paid 8% apy) and then i realized that's fucking stupid.

is there any reason not to just buy 1 day before the ex-dividend date and then sell? maybe swing trade the entry and exit a bit around the date...

looking at these they don't seem to dump on the day of the dividend payment like they should, i thought the dividend value came directly out of the stock price. if it pays 10% the stock is supposed to dip 10% and it goes to investors? where is the money coming from?

What 4% target are you talking about?

There is no reason for Fed to accepting the failure in fighting inflation. While the jobs market is hot, the Fed could just increase rates until inflation returns to current 2% target OR jobs market crack up.

Additionally, there is a little chance of partial gov bonds default if debt ceiling will not increased. In that scenario the value of USD will drop, consequentially increasing inflation further.
