First and foremost, the nature of the chans dictates that if a thread is actually bad, it will have less interaction, and will fall down the pages until it falls into the archive or too short to be archived abyss. There's no fucking reason to prune SLIGHTLY off topic threads when the board should handle it themselves, and if they are engaging in a thread that's titled "I just od'd in a chuck e cheese bathroom" then apparently people on THIS BOARD find this topic either amusing or something engaging. Leave it alone, let the conversation lull itself out. There's no reason to warn/mute/ban for a fucking meme thread. The point is that the mechanisms of the chan boards do not require a fucking mod to constantly prune. It handles itself.

Secondly, the racism needs to fucking come to a conclusion. Can I say nigger or not. If not, filter the fucking word. If I can, then stop considering context and let it all go. Should you mute someone spamming nigger though? Probably. Because they are spamming. If I call a bank "Jewish" is that okay? Where do we draw the line? The jannys around here don't have have a clear indication of where the threshold for racism starts or ends, and that pisses people off. It has to be consistent. So filter all the gamer words or let off the fucking gas.

Last, they seem to feel that unless they do something, that people will forget there are jannies. This is a modern trend among younger moderators, they seem to believe that since they have been given this position that there is some quota to hit every day. They don't understand that sometimes, all is well, and maybe you don't HAVE to do ANYTHING. It's like if all is well, they'll find a trivial offense because there was nothing else going on.

This. It's clear that jannies are baggies and responsible for making a lot of the threads around here and banning the ones they don't like. People have been trying to talk about good arbitrum projects (HAMI finance, MAGIC, JONES) and the threads get suspiciously deleted once they hit a certain amount of bumps. I've seen quite a lot where i was talking good shit with another anon and then boom, thread is gone. I wonder why...
