Holy seethe - saying no to free money, great business strategy!

What's a safe way of doing this? I don't mean 100% safe but you know, safe as far as investing goes

Rely only on the money you obtain from working and invest whatever your parents give you. You’ll learn to be fiscally responsible to some extent.

Taking an allowance from mommy at 21?!?

And then one day you find,
Ten years have got behind you,
No one told you when to run,
You’ve missed the starting gun.

The time is gone,
The song is over,
Thought I’d something more to say.

On the real, it's kind of shameful and not typical of what most would call an adult. I think your parents would be proud if you refused this allowance. You do whatever you think is right but most folks would indeed call this embarrassing.

To answer your question, you should DCA into an index fund.

$1600 really isn't much.
I make $4k a month after taxes and have my rent and basic food expenses covered.
Idk man, usually I would say you should start working towards making more money, maybe a cheap diploma in business management so instead of a cashier you can become a manager if you stay loyal to your company.
Or I would say invest in crypto and keep holding but honestly, I don't know anymore. I'm so tired of working, I used to love my job but recently I realized making money just doesn't make me happy.
My best advice for you is to go to the gym, nothing crazy but if you can get a good habit in the gym then that's great for you. Then, just focus on your friends. I left my home and although I have friends where I am, I miss my friends a lot. Sometimes I think I wouldn't mind going back home and being poor just so I could hang out with them everyday after work and see my mom and dog like I used to.
