No more than 4. When one has a run rebalance into another that is low. Use BTC/ETH as a reserve.

im in 4 figure hell and I'm invested in 15 different coins
in my opinion, no matter how much you have, it's good to diversify
what changes depending on how much money you have is how you manage your risk
let's say, if I have 1000$ in crypto, I'm going to invest a big % of it in riskier coins, let's say 80%.
If I have 10M in crypto, I'd rather invest in safer coins. I'd probably only invest 10-20% in riskier small caps.
In both cases, I would diversify in different narrative coins, big and small caps.

agreed, if you all in one one fucking coin and it rugs or gets hacked its game over. In this market even just diversifying into two projects reduces your risk by orders of magnitude.
