DOT or Atom?

>> No.53752549

DOT. Cosmos is tying itself into knots trying to replicate polkadot's security architecture but realising that it simply can't retrofit it, it's just too complex and needs to be built with shared security as the focus from the ground up. As a result Inter-chain security has ended up a mess that can't scale because it simply forces validators to run nodes on top of nodes of each chain they're forced to secure. Cosmos IBC is looking like it'll forever be a weak security framework and that severely limits trust assumptions for long term projects accruing significant value, and with Composable bridging the two ecos and the rate of growth and development of dotsama over the past year, cosmos is looking to get drained of its TVL and become a satellite network of one man band projects, and even that is questionable with the imminent release of parathreads making PAYG blockspace available for any pop-up blockchain project looking to experiment.

I don't think there's a way back for cosmos at this point technologically speaking, but it'll still be relatively profitable to hold and trade for the next two years at the very least.

Polkadot has superior tech and it's very undervalued right now, still x7 until ATH.

ATOM, and cosmos coins like INJ, OSMO, MARS. Dot and its ecosystem tokens are proven vaporware and already pumped and dumped

They're both super inflationary but give high staking reward as result

atom evm compatible chains. Dot has no fast lane for capital to move into dot. If it doesnt work in metamask dont bother

>superior interoperability
not anymore
>scalability
Cosmos can scale in the sense that you can have as many IBC chains as you want, but you can't secure them equally, each will have their own validator set, and this matters because interoperability is only as valuable as your ability to trust the shared security between the interoperating chains. The attempt to provide shared security (ICS) is simply dogshit and not fit for purpose, and likely never will be. In contrast Polkadot's plan for nested relay chains provides just the same scalability potential but with no concessions to security.

Cosmos. It's easy to use, develop on, or make your own chain. Even eth projects are moving over. The whole polkadot auction system seems dumb and complex.

ATOM mostly because it has far surpassed DOT in terms of adoption. Go look in any DOT thread compared to ATOM threads and youll see just about everyone in Cosmos participates in the ecosystem where as Polkadot holders stake DOT and dont even own any other tokens in their ecosystem let alone use parachains.

>> No.53755196

>>53755151
If inflation and staking APY are the same then that means means 100% of tokens are staked which is extremely unlikely. Less people staking means higher APY, but inflation remains constant.
