It only concerns key generated from AvalancheGO API. Wallet, Metamask, Ledger etc are safe. Also, Over 99% of the validators are up to date and couldn't be facing this exploit. Users funds are safu, validators funds are safu. It's largely a non issue.

Avalabs team always recommended NOT to generate your keys from AvalancheGO API btw, This exploit is trying to exploit the tards who didn't follow the rules.

But team said all of this is false and not even above is valid, so maybe they know better than me, they probably do

AVAX had a bug in the client code, this happened on the VM layer, not the consensus layer so it's not a consensus failure. This is similar to the BTC inflation bug that created billions of BTC out of thin air. EOS always had shit tech though, well at least compared to Ethereum's ambitions at the time. Years later we see that all of ETH's grand scaling ideas failed and now, ironically, it's settling for an EOS style of scaling. So now ETH and EOS are equals in failure, but at least EOS were honest about their limitations, so ultimately I would say that EOSchads won.

This doesn't have anything to do with AVAX though, since AVAX has intrinsically better tech (at consensus level) and isn't stuck trying to squeeze out miniscule optimization gains from old and busted consensus protocols like ETH/ EOS are doing with Nakamoto and classical.
