Intrinsic value is a nonsense term. Value assignment is inherently subjective, while the word intrinsic implies it is objective. Literally a contradiction.

But yes, bitcoin is valueless because it fails as peer to peer electronic cash (cash doesn't tell everyone how much money you have or who you are transacting with). Bitcoin at $1k would still be above what it's worth, but, you can always make money off irrational bubbles.
