The serious answer is without clarity regarding the SEC case and presence on US CEXs for high volume trading the price will stay stagnant. Even if you believe in the usecase of xrp or if you’re a complete schizophrenic and believe in the buy back, nothing will happen until there is a decision in the case. There is a huge risk, if the decision goes against ripple/xrp this will cause a mass sell off and leave people holding heavy bags, same if they’re an escalation through the courts. Anyone buying xrp is making a bet that the US government is going to lose and even then you can’t leverage the bet as CEXs won’t allow trading.

My personal speculation is the most likely outcome is Ripple as the selected custodian of XRP will have to pay a multimillion dollar fine for selling XRP to raise funds thus negatively impacting the price and causing “harm” to investors. XRP itself will likely be declared to not be a security. There may also be an issue where the SEC could try to force ripple to burn the escrow to prove that the token is in fact decentralised. In any positive outcome whether a win or a settlement expect relistings and a lot of price volatility.


The non serious answer is
