But to your point, I've seen a few people that claim to have made it from trading futures on leverage. Its something I'm looking at getting into but I plan on designating a relatively small bag for it initially since I don't want to wind up sucking dick for rent money. If you're using leverage I thin the name of the game is to exercise extreme caution and control your greed otherwise you'll fuck yourself. That all mostly just applies if you intend on using high leverage though

indeed. I have a friend who made around 20k, then made a 5x and now does exclusively futures trading... however he's flaky af and getting in contact is difficult. From what I got you need to use a small amount, be careful with the leverage and be very precise in TA. What I need is people who have experience in this so I can gauge my expectations. According to this friend of mine sometimes he hit 40% on a single trade, but as you can imagine that's risky af and you're bound to lose money.

I played around with it about 8 months ago using the gains network platform (I also own GNS coins so any mongrel that reads this should pump my baggies) problem was that I was swamped at work and didn't have the necessary time to allocate to learning how to do it effectively. I was basically just starting with $100 and seeing how long I could make it last. I learned you really can't afford to walk away from the computer for any extended period of time. If I had an open position of a $15 short and a $15 long and went to work, they'd both be liquidated by lunch break. Scam wicks will absolutely fuck you so you need to take that into account. That being said, during that experience 40% on a single trade seemed average if you're going full degen 100x leverage. Problem was those profits are nearly as likely to get swallowed on the next trade. The feeling of it was honestly closer to casino gambling than the cold calculation of usual crypto trading. That was one reason I decided to put it down while I was slammed at work, without giving it undivided attention and proper respect using TA and number crunching it may as well have just been online blackjack

Short story version is that margin is the name for the collateral you put up as a trader. Futures is a term that encompasses shorts and longs. Shorts allow you to make money when something goes down, longs are the opposite.
Leverage allows you to multiple your gains and losses on shorts and longs. If Btc is 50k, and I open a long at 10x, then if Btc goes up 5k (a 10% increase) then my profit is 10% multiplied 10x which equates to a 100% increase (you just doubled your money). However if Btc goes down 10% and you have 10x leverage, then you lose 100% of your money (known as liquidation)

Making a 2% of average daily profit is not even realistic and less likely daytrading, nobody does 60% monthly, if someone tells you it is possible to do, that person is surely larping or got lucky at the beginning which is a gambler's fallacy for sure. Maybe on some market conditions it is possible to trade daily and get a winning spread, but in order to do that, you'll need to do a lot of research, backtesting, and stare at charts all day everyday, and you won't be day trading at all because you'd be looking for the right conditions to enter and get that winning spread without counting the huge drawdowns and the constant struggle finding out how to avoid overtrading. Even if you're able to be a profitable trader, you'll underperform swing/position trading strategies.

Not at all, swing and position strategies only works on trending markets, if you daytrade futures on a strong trend you'll get liquidated, i'd may be looking for a weak one, but it's hard to realize how long the trend it will last. Most of the time btc is flat and ranging, if you apply a swing strategy on those conditions you'll be a consistent loser. Maybe a bet system could work on crabbing conditions where most day traders are profitable, but profit won't be that great. If you want to daytrade futures, try to find a pattern looking at open interest, you may approach funding fees if you're on chinknance, good luck!

The question is the following. I am opening a long position I plan to close as soon it hits my target. Lets say I open at around 22100~ and close at 22700~ thats around 2.something% increase. Is it feasable to do this on a daily basis considering I need to monitor the charts on 1D, 1H and 15 min in order to not fuck myself up.
For today that would require me to have binance open for 3 hours to monitor this. leveraged positions are obviously a no no unless I want to rope myself... unless I get good enough to predict how's the price gonna move in the next 10 minutes and trade like a degenerate.
