Beta decay is real.

https://www.investopedia.com/articles/investing/121515/why-3x-etfs-are-riskier-you-think.asp

>Assume an investor has placed $100 in a triple-leveraged fund. Consider what happens when the price of the benchmark index goes up 5% one day and down 5% on the next trading day. The 3x leveraged fund goes up 15% and down 15% on consecutive days. After the first day of trading, the initial $100 investment is worth $115. The next day after trading closes, the initial investment is now worth $97.75. That represents a loss of 2.25% on an investment that would normally track the benchmark without the use of leverage.

Then in 2023, I realize a $9k gain, does that mean I can subtract the rest of that $8k and only pay taxes on the $1k profit? Or can I only subtract $2k from 2022 and have to pay taxes on $7k profit?

However, still, statistically, people are ngmi following this plan. I plan to, yes, take the much more comfortable route and in about 10 or 15 years generate 500k of savings/invesments.

Then I will probably start toying around with options and forex. At the very least I can quit my factory job and go back to my part time job and have more free time over all. It depends on your risk tolerance, too, which I simply have a low risk tolerance, but, at least I know I have a much higher probability of living a much more comfortable life in 15 years following this route than either becoming extremely rich or extremely poor. Let's make the numbers easier so you understand. Assume the market goes up 25% one day and down 20% the following day. So we're back to unch. Let's say the market does this 100 times in a row. So it gets back to unch after 200 days. Now do the calc with a 3xETF, going up 75% and down 60% for a consecutive 100 times.

Yes, the market has to go up way more than it goes down compared to a 1x fund. Here's the thing:
>line always goes up
And if you're really that worried, take out half of your capital and just keep it as cash so that you have a 0.5x fund. Or better, just keep it all in cash, and you have literally zero decay.

One thing to keep in mind is you might not *have* a big play. Your (female) broker hates it but you can just sit in 100% cash waiting for things to develop.

Does that mean missing some moons in unrelated stocks or industries and living with a flat performance chart? Yup. But that can be better than the alternative of jumping into something where the odds are against you.

Treasury General Account (aka Yellen's checking account). Debt ceiling means she can't raise new dollars for it by selling bonds and instead has to spend that money.

So while the Fed balance sheet is down and money market funds are still parking their dollars at the RRP, the TGA dollars counter that by flowing into the market. See something like

if you order online from anywhere, especially any chain, youre gonna get skimpy portions of the oldest shit

its partially because they make less margin from online orders, but its also just how you interact with the worker. think about it. when you order online, they see your whole burrito order on one strip of paper. that means they can plan how much of each ingredient to put in, based on how many things you have total.

but if youre ordering in person, you tell them the ingredients one by one. they dont know, when theyre scooping in the rice beans and chicken, if you'll also be getting veggies, cheese, guac, sour cream etc, so they give you a full portioned scoop of the good stuff.

you also deserve old ass food if you order online b/c its gonna be cold by the time it gets to you anyway

Despite who runs them you still take a hit when folks don’t pay or fuck something up. Rentals can be good for building wealth but when you reach a certain point you will want to unload them. If you really are getting this settlement you can skip the real estate business. I had 5 homes at one point. Down to three now.

my mom went to psychologists for 10 years but whenever they tried to give her pills she was like "Geez, Doc, I'm just here to talk!" and basically just used them as a target dummy for her rants about people she worked with. seems fun but i wouldnt pay for it

Yeah, I know a lot of people do. But I've got nothing else to lose at this point, other than time and money but I have plenty of both.

i like having the freedom to do whatever the fuck i want. i "work" on my passions but i don't really consider that work. like making music or going to gaming events like for MTG or fighting games.

i don't really give a shit about society or mankind. i just put up with it as little as is necessary tbhwy. i like my frens though.

If she asked me today for directions or what time it is, I'd feel inconvenienced or slightly annoyed. The Wall just does that. If she was elderly (10 years from now) it wouldn't bother me at all, though.

honestly stock market just seems like the best vehicle for making money regardless of what you do. day trade, swing trade, position trade, options, dividends, indices. it's all there. why the fuck would you ever deal with anything with low liquidity or where you have to actually deal with real people or overhead? like, seriously, why? warren buffet faced this same exact fucking question when he was young and he was just like "lol why the fuck would i deal with that low liquidity shit with all these extra fees nigga?" that's an exact quote btw.

cooking is a really underrated skill in this generation. the only real reason i don't cook regularly (i know how and have done it plenty of times) is that i still live with my parents and my mom makes the meals. honestly i make better food than my mom but it's just easier this way and it's still good home cooked shit. she just does it more by "feel" even though i keep trying to teach her how to time things and do it more scientifically to produce consistent high quality results.

unironically try weed. i was the same way and didn't want to take SSRI's because of the "zaps" i read about on erowid. it basically permanently changes your brain chemistry even if you want to quit later. weed won't do that, you can quit it any time, it won't destroy your body's organs or make you crazy, it's just good shit that has been used for literally thousands of years. get a vape or eat it instead of smoking and it's entirely healthy. helped me a lot.

keep going to talk therapy though bro. hopefully your therapist is good, remember if they suck you can always try another. research things like what cognitive behavioral therapy is, educate yourself.
