Sergey got filthy fucking rich. The 700k transfers to binance were unironically market sells. Sure some of it was used for the "treasury" or "warchest" but a lot of it was allocated discretionarily by sergey and other higher ups.

its a well known phenomenon even in tardfi companies. Founders get too rich too quickly and just mentally check the fuck out, until some other startup founder with drive and hunger inevitably usurps them.

There are extremely few exceptions, and almost ALL exceptions include the former founder/CEO leaving the executive roll and hiring someone else to do the ceo job while they just ride on the board/fuck off to billionaires paradise somewhere.
