Yes, and people love to reference it as fud for the prospect of trading in game items while they conveniently forget that world of warcraft’s auction house was a hit. The difference lies in the nature of the game. Diablo is a game centered almost entirely around farming items, so the auction house completely defeated the purpose of playing the game. WoW doesn’t exactly work this way. From my understanding, wow places much more value on crafting materials and in-game currency and many of the BiS items cannot be removed from your character or something like that and therefore they can’t be traded. I don’t play wow so maybe someone here who played a lot of wow can explain it better than me. Suffice it to say, there are games in which an auction house would be a good idea. Diablo just isn’t one of them

I love credit debt. I just moved states, and only had a couple thousand cash. They let me pay the down payment on a new trailer plus build a gaming PC. A 20% interest card is only 30% total interest over 2 years. Yes it seems bad, but as long as it's something valuable that you are using it's worth it. You also need to be able to take the extra cost of mandatory monthly payments.

If you have debt for things that aren't worth it, you need to pay it off ASAP because you are going to pay that 30% interest on something you don't even need.

Everything else is just listing/cutting expenses and budgeting. Other than rent my largest expenses are insurance for everything. Add things up over a yearly period to see their total impact.
