I've been trying to find advice on how to secretly consult outside of my main job but most places say it's "unethical" or "breach of contract" or some stupid shit.

Basically:
>100k CAD salary at my main job
>1 client that is willing to pay me 40k a year to maintain software I made them

How can I go about doing this so I don't get caught by my day job? I'll be mostly working outside of office hours with maybe a teams message here and there during the times they overlap. I have no idea if I'm allowed to do this but I rather not ask/dont really care.

I guess corporations are public (in canada)? Can I register it to a lawyer to keep my name out of the public record? If I don't incorporate I will get absolutely sodomized by taxes and it's not like I need much more money than what I make in my day job.

I've contacted an accountant, I don't really want the extra expense of contacting a lawyer but will if needed.
