Having visited Portland last year (like a retard), it was such a sty. Tent cities every other street in both downtown and the suburbs, everyone - junkie or not - looking absolutely miserable, and the entire city covered with BLM flags and rainbows like some bizarro faggy Oceania.
Los Angeles is arguably worse because it's the same but they still allow theft which makes the bucks and homeless very ornery. Every single West Coast city is a fucking disaster regardless.

The market is about 30% higher than it traded in Jan 2020. Between buybacks, growth re-investment and inflation, SPY is comparably expensive right now.
But the covid crash wasn't a matter of overvaluation, it was an event based panic. Unless you're aware of some new disease or other impending crisis, I'm not sure how this is similar.

at least Chesa Boudin got booted out of office even by the most liberal voters in the country. although one wonders how a guy that grew up in a literal terrorist cell was able to win office in the first place

ironically, it was the Asian vote swinging against him that did him in - same thing is happening in NYC, woke city govt is trying to steal funding from elite public schools (asian dominated) and give it to failed black schools, and asians are voting republican in local races because of it

this is why black people hate asians, they dont have white guilt and will actually vote to protect their communities and schools

its really bad

last year the school funding goals report they put out included literally fucking defunding a dozen or so elite schools - not shutting them down but taking away additional city funds beyond what district taxes give them - and giving all of that funding to shitty schools in minority districts

its sad because these people will never admit that money isnt the problem in these districts

another thing they keep doing is assigning more and more students from badly performing districts to the elite schools and vice versa, in pursuit of "equity"

but the bad students stay bad because they problem is their home life 99% of the time, and no good parent is going to let their good kid go to a shitty minority district school, so they pull them out and send them to private or catholic schools

public school enrollments are dropping fast nationwide especially among wealthy people - i used to wholeheartedly support public schools but between the tranny shit and this shit, theyre fucking themselves over - and once you pass a tipping point where public schools are mostly full of kids whose parents cant afford to or dont care enough to send them private, theyre gonna be fucked for a long long time

Was there some special new rules made after Congress got pissed that Peter Theil's Paypal gains in his IRA couldn't be Tax Raped by the IRS?

>Want to Avoid Taxes the Peter Thiel Way? Don’t Even Try

>If Peter Thiel could use a special retirement account to accumulate $5 billion tax free, why can’t you? It’s only natural to wonder after a ProPublica report last month detailing how the venture capitalist turned a humdrum retirement savings vehicle into a shelter for spectacular capital gains.
>Thiel used what's called a self-directed Roth Individual Retirement Account, according to the report. A self-directed account is one that can invest in alternative holdings such as startups, real estate or partnerships, unlike a traditional account, which typically holds stocks and bonds. IRAs can be self-directed, as can Roths, where tax is paid upfront so withdrawals are tax-free.

Contribution income limit. The limit is 144k for 2022 tax year. I made sure to keep realized gains below that, but I failed to notice the phase out limit which starts at 129k.

You can backdoor convert through a trad IRA contribution though, which has no income cap I believe.
Peter Theil's fat roth is the result of fraud by the way. He claimed a private market value near zero on his startup, knowing he was about to close on a huge raise that would value his post-raise stake at like 500 mil. So don't go thinking you're actually gonna grow anywhere close to that level.

I have money to invest but I just don't really believe in anything. I know AI will be big(ger), and I bought 3 ai/robotics ETFs (ROBT etc) but they aren't that correlated to actual AI technology. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I also have some amazon and s&p 500.

Shill me ETFs and why they're good buys.

Fidelity does not like ppl playing with penny stocks. Their current definition of a penny stock is anything below 3/share. You're going to have to call them to change your account restrictions.

>are i-bonds still worth doing this year?
Depends on your needs. They were never worth doing unless you had a need to preserve capital over a 12-24 month timeframe, and also poor enough that 10-20k in ibonds represents a substantial portion of your savings to make it worth setting up vs just dumping all your money into t-bills via your brokerage.

The gains were, and still are, pretty comparable to opening up any new bank or credit card account to get that $500 signup bonus. A lot of people go crazy over this type of shit though. Personally, I like to consider the opportunity cost of the time spent making them, plus the mental strain of maintaining and rotating multiple accounts.
In the end, it all boils down to how you value your time.

Look at individual holdings in your AI ETFs. For example https://www.ftportfolios.com/Retail/Etf/EtfHoldings.aspx?Ticker=ROBT

Chances are there *are* some decent companies or ones relevant to your slice of AI in there.

Did you read the disclaimer where they warn you that most options expire worthless?
Do you understand that a put gives you the right to sell shares, but not any obligation?

If the strike of your puts are in the money, and the value of the bid is less than the difference between the strike and the current trading price of INTC shares, then you may want to consider buying some shares and exercising so that you can benefit from the remaining value of your puts.
If you do nothing, depending on your broker they may either sell automatically, exercise automatically, or leave the options to expire worthless.
If they exercise, you may find yourself short 300 INTC shares on monday.
