A 24 pack of water costs $6. I remember it being like $3 last year.

Meanwhile a week of drinking water for me costs less than a dollar. How do I do it? I drink from the tap because I actually have an immune system.

Politicians don't understand how the economy works anymore. It ain't like we have Slick Willy anymore.
Seems like the American people are just hellbent on electing idiots who campaign on social issues and think you can just print more money.
Seriously, no one understands basic economics anymore and it truly is sad.

OK, the actually non-retarded advice:
1. Buy a cheap complex water filter (mechanical + reverse osmosis + mineralization) filter and install it so that you have a second tap with clean water.
2. Use it for cooking and drinking, also make sure that this water always reaches a boiling point (in a kettle, in a pot when you cook, etc) before you consume it.

The reverse osmosis filter costs around $200 and will make you clean water for years.
