Why do people unironically hold bitcoin? Eth I can kind of understand as it's actually used for something but bitcoin literally is only #1 due to a several year first mover's advantage. No one uses it for anything. Even El Salvador doesn't use it, they use algorand to power their bitcoin transactions. And look at bitcoin's market cap. Even a 2x requires 500 billion flowing in from somewhere.
