The tangle barely even works for normal transactions -- sending between wallets can take days or weeks if you are unlucky in your placement within the tangle. Also their whitepaper has minimal guarantees against attack by botnets since the only transaction verification is done _by_people_making_new_transactions_. IOTA is even more questionable than Lightning Network itself imo.

oh whatever -- I've worked with Nomura for something before as well. what this really means is like 3 people might give you some time out of their day to get advice and see if you can do something useful for some part of the bank as a supplier. it's not as though the entire bank is suddenly onboard with your service, or will ever be.
