All you need is a pickup truck, some puncture resistant gloves, a step ladder and a space to store / clean stuff. A lock pick is really good too since most places lock up end of day, just don't leave a mess and no one will care, in fact they'll like you're giving them more space for trash.

I personally love construction and supplies companies. Just picked up a bunch of showroom lighting fixtures from dumpsters and sold them for $500 this week. Averaging $100/hour of labour.

I go to a lot of big box hardware / home reno stores. There's an industrial area of my city with different shops that throw away a ton of raw goods that I resell to smaller outlets. I mostly make money off of wood that's thrown away.

I've found lots of cool things though. Best things so far this year is a wide format printer I sold for 4k and a drill press I sold for 2k. Big industrial places just tossed them away.

nice. it is crazy what some places throw away, especially the warehouses. it gets kinda dangerous to dive around my way, most lock up dumpsters. the raymour and flanigan throws out entirely good pieces of furniture if it has a stitch or something wrong and they send it to be crushed. not allowed to dive there but I went and got a recliner chair before.
