Loud smacks echo through the airy corridors of the large summer home in the Hamptons interspersed with squeals and moans. Jerome is holding an old school VHS recorder in one hand and covering his mouth with the other to hopefully keep from throwing up again. He tries to maintain his composure and steady the camcorder but the market fellating him, covered in his first upheaval, is not making it easy. The market gags and slurps his massive inflationary schlong, it gets larger with every print. The head going well into the market's esophagus with each stroke. Concentrating on his task at hand he pans between the three "participants", Janet Yellen, completely nude, skin hanging like rotted slabs of meat, is in the center on all fours, yelping like a bitch in heat while the biggest doberman pinscher Jerome has ever seen rails her dusty snatch mercilessly. Periodically Elizabeth Warren, dressed as a full blood Cherokee squaw, will pelt Janet with a whip when her moans die down. One particularly hard lash causes a curse of "Black unemployment!" to escape Janet's thin and obvious Jewish lips. Soon the doberman begins to near completion and thrusts his bulbous pecker to the base and knots Yellen causing a convulsion that looks to have killed the bitch, that or she passed out. Warren is cackling and prancing around then takes a giant piss on them both. Jerome has now seen it all, the other Fed Presidents won't fucking believe this shit, not even after that last hooker gang bang with them and the market. He puts his camcorder down and shoves the market's head forward hard to nut deep in her stomach. "Does this inflation FEEL transitory, you fucking slut?" he smirks and unloads as she starts to asphyxiate from lack of air.

Shorting VIX futures long term is a good but uncommon idea, albeit with some risks (but the tailwinds are worth it, usually) which are mitigated by sufficient underleverage. But I'm not talking about trading, I'm just saying, look at the graph, VIX term structure never implied such a low long-term VIX since March 2020. In other words according to the market VIX is hibernating.

My God, shut the fuck up about "volmageddon". Futures went up to 38. 38!! How the fuck is that disastrous? If you can't take a VIX futures spike to 38 then you're gonna lose your money because you're retarded. It's only remembered because it was so sudden that it destroyed short VIX ETNs. But guess what, don't buy those, they're scams anyway, short VIX futures and make sure your position is small enough relative to your cash than you can take a spike to 120, or at least 50 if you're poor.

The real risk is March 2020 where futures went a lot higher than your stupid "volmageddon", but the real problem isn't how high it goes, if you're properly underleveraged it's not a problem, so real problem is backwardation that makes you bleed money (futures go up even as VIX goes down, then you rollover and lock in that loss. A big problem if VIX stays high for months).

Funny how I can't talk about VIX without people showing how retarded they are about the whole topic.

Sounds reasonable, but I think in the long run this would be counterproductive.
If there's a 50 bps raise the market will not just expect a pause but an immediate cut at the next meeting which just can and will not happen.
A 25 bps raise would still be in the range of expectation and the market would be way more forgiving if there is no pause but only 25 bps raises in the future.

>Does banking do well or badly during shit that's coming?
Depends. Outstanding loans at low rates are underwater now. Massive yield curve inversion means new longterm loans written are underwater.
If they're holding risky loans: auto, credit cards, personal loans, subprime housing then they could see defaults.
On the other hand, banks with good balance sheets and excess capital are getting 5% right now just to sit on that cash. Many banks have just left their savings account yield at/near 0%, and checking accounts are of course also near 0%. So that's a lot of free money for the banks. There are a lot of boomers out there who have sat their money in the same bank forever and will continue to do so until they die. They don't care about maximizing their interest. They may not even remember their money is there.

So overall, it's hard to say. If we somehow see a huge collapse then naturally bank stocks will decline with the market, otherwise I think some will perform well. You'll have to pick the right banks though.

spin off one of their resorts unit approved...
"Genius Group (NYSE:GNS) shares are trading higher after the company's board approved the spinoff of its Entrepreneur Resorts subsidiary.

Entrepreneur Resorts Ltd is a public listed company on the Seychelles MERJ Stock Exchange with a market cap of $37 million. 97% of outstanding shares are owned by Genius Group. The company operates a Bali resort, South Africa safari and co-working cafes in Bali and Singapore.

Genius Group CEO, Roger Hamilton, stated "We are fortunate to already have two public listed companies within the group, making a spinoff a viable option. While the MERJ exchange does not have high trading liquidity like the NYSE American, our future plan is to list Entrepreneur Resorts on a larger exchange.""
