>On Ace File Transfer, users can share files securely and anonymously, without needing a central server or intermediary. The Dapp protects all data with encryption and tamper resistance.

>How does it work? (as a sender)
1. Upload your file, enter the receiver Address and attach a message (0x or ENS supported)
2. Encrypt your file and send it to IPFS
3. Mint an encrypted dataset and send it to the iExec SMS (use as a private key to decrypt the file)

>How does it work? (as a receiver)
1. Install the Telegram bot to get notified when you received a pending transfer
2. Go to the Inbox section, find the sender's address, trigger the download button, and the dataset will decrypt it

can you explain a bit more? if you mint the encrypted dataset NFT, , what if you want to revoke access to someone you gave acccess, how does that work? i assume that the person can not copy the data onto his computer in any way. but he can pass on the access key, right?

>>53496990
If haven't checked the code of this app but I know iExec.
The key is never revealed an can only be used inside the Trusted Execution Environment where only authorized code can be executed.
You could revoke access by cancelling the dataset order (the offering on the marketplace).

The developer made a retarded mistake. I don't want to say what because this imbecile sent a document with his address and phone number etc.
Basically you can get all the files unencrypted and that's not even hard. I'm not a security specialist or anything.
It's also funny how not single person used this out of iExecs 70k followers kek

yet another scam. use the beginning if the new year to start your honest life, op. it isn't healthy having to lie everytime someone asks you what you do for a living. when you are old, you'll look back and can't even tell your nephews what you did, it'll be a huge gap in your life that everyone is suspicious about

this I am wondering. how do you pay for IPFS hosting?

>> No.53504090

>>53503947
Per default, iExec stores the output on ipfs for you. I haven't seen any limits yet. I don't know if this will change in the future but I can imagine. You can also choose another storage provider if you want.
For input assets. you need to host them yourself anywhere. E.g. your own ipfs node, pinata, filebase, dropbox ...

You can't revoke access. But that's irrelevant because of the flawed design of this app.
