Bitcoins security is also fucked long term. Its entire existence is based on Bitcoin 2xing every 4 years. unless a 2x happens, miner margins is getting fucked, so hashrate will be lower, the cost of attack gets lower, which will continue in perpetuity, until coin emission = zero.

TX fees will never be able to replace current emission as payout to miners, unless you change emission to be like something XMR or ETH, which will just give you another BCH situation.
