Different strokes I suppose. In my English you can be gay without being a fag. "Fag" implies a slew of negative traits like flamboyance, aggressive sexualization, and dramatization of the mundane, while "gay" just implies a same-sex attraction. This of course is in relation to describing people, in describing events or situations "gay" is more or less "undesirable".

I'm going to post a truth about Honkaloids that no one else will tell you. Not even Honkaloids can refute it.

>Honkaloids are a people who are genetically tend to be inbred. They are the remnants of a people who interbred with a genetically superior hominins (Neanderthals) and proceeded to wipe them out due to jealousy of them being more powerful and more intelligent. And breeding the rest of them out of existing simple because Neanderthals had less offspring that took longer to raise.

>Honkaloids have a genetic disposition to crave totalitarian government and civilizations.
>You don't understand we NEEED a God King to tell us what to do!
>Eventually Honkaloids Rulers do too much incest and do a bunch of dumb shit
>Enough Honkaloids eventually get tired of their oppressive God King Rulers and run away to new lands
>Honkaloids always attempt to recreate a new form of government and elect a new God King to tell them what to do
>new government always becomes totalitarian again and repeats process
>Honkaloids have a genetic disposition to believe they're God's image or better than other hominins and other life forms which always ends up with them attempting to enslave other life forms.
>slavery, genocide, whaling, sea world, zoos, mass deforestation
>Honkaloids don't like having non Honkaloids live near them but they refuse to pick their own cotton and avocados so they're always inviting slave caste into their civilizations
>then turning around and being upset when they notice too many non Honkaloids live near them or breeding their daughters
>so they run away again to suburbs or Africa, or Argentina, or Japan/China
>Honkaloids love having pets because it makes them feel superior. They love to lock things in cages and pretend it's fair since they're given "free" food at the expense of freedom

One thing that I like is that leveraged ETFs are focused and usually correlate well (80%+) to the thing they track. If you do risk management against ATR, for example, they're a blessing because you need less capital to achieve the same risk profile.
Suppose I wanted to go long or short on TSLA, I would need to put about $3,800 into a position (bear or bull). But with TSLL, I only need $2,800 to potentially risk 2% of my capital on a loss (with appropriate TP/SLs). This means I can manage potentially more trades at a time

>Honkaloids worship Black's due to their athletic dominance. You can cry all you want but there's a reason every single high school and college basketball and football team is majority black athletes.
>Honkaloids hate Ashkenazi Jews because Ashkenazi Jews just do what Honkaloids do but better and usually to Honkaloids since most Honkaloids can't identify Jews.
>Honkaloids lie and break treaties with Indigenous Americans, Jews do the same to Honkaloids using compound Intrest rates
>Honkaloids like Andrew Jackson genocide Indigenous, Honkaloids like Margaret Sanger genocide Blacks, Jews do the exact same thing to Honkaloids using open borders and mass migration

I have heard it was known to cause such issues in some people and it's def made me wonder if the 2 are connected.

Nothing 'natural' about the way vaxes trigger your immune system. It's such a complex and sensitive system keeping your ass alive and if it goes haywire, it really sucks. IMHO you fuck around with it at your own peril. Never again.

What does the yellow part of the bar represent? The ones I have show a single yellow line on each of the weekly candles. Your charts show a lot of volume at 88 compared to 118 on the weekly so doesnt that imply weaker buying higher up? Or maybe there is a chunk of volume starting around 112 that means enough people are buying at those prices?
My thesis is that BABA has been staying in the bollingerbands really well in the past and right now its at the top of the weekly with a high-ish RSI. I was predicting a drop towards the MA at around 90. However, I sold my puts today on the dump because the 15-min chart showed oversold and I was gonna rebuy.

Bought like 10k worth of ERUS a year ago. The value is like $0.04 from blackrocks site and they've sent out a few vague mumbo jumbo messages earlier in the year about trying to liqudate and if they cant by x date in 2023 they'll abandon them or w/e.

I was reading some stuff about how if you had the ADR of stocks you can convert it to russian stocks and hold it in a russian brokerage account, but with an ETF i guess ur fucked?

What am I looking at getting here? Can blackrock say "f u" and abandon my shares of russian stocks that are in their ETF and leave me high and dry? Would I expect to get anything back? In all honesty id prefer to just keep the shares and hold em for the next 10-20 years. I want to keep the stocks not have blackrock liqudate them wtf.

>Bought like 10k worth of ERUS a year ago.
If you bought before the invasion.. unlucky. If purchased post, this is exactly what you signed up for.
>What am I looking at getting here?
Whatever they choose.
>Can blackrock say "f u" and abandon my shares of Russian stocks that are in their ETF and leave me high and dry?
Blackrock can pretty much do whatever they want. ETF managers have the ability to liquidate whenever they want, and since there are sanctions severely limiting the ability to trade Russian stocks, trade Rubles, or trade the ADRs, they can kind of just make up the value because there's no real market. They do have a fiduciary responsibility, but there's a lot of flexibility in how they achieve that and you only recourse is to potentially sue them if you get fucked over too hard.
>Would I expect to get anything back?
Depends on what exactly they hold (ADRs vs moex shares), and how they choose to liquidate. Most likely you'll get some money back, likely somewhat comparable to where the fund traded post-invasion. I doubt you'll get much more than that.
Russian gov proposed a bill that would allow foreign investors from non-friendly countries to cash out moex shares and convert currency out of rubles at 40% value immediately, or 50% value if spread over two years. I don't know the latest news on this proposal, but for now it's the most reasonable estimate to go off.
If there are any ADRs that still trade freely, or shares listed on exchanges outside Russia, you'll likely get liquidated at the current trading price of those shares.. even if the ADR trades at a discount to a paired listing of that same company on moex currently. Potential examples of this are polymetal, veon, maybe yandex.
If they're unable to close out certain positions, they could just leave the fund open forever. They may also choose to directly distribute your share of several underlying positions.

Blackrock has all the power to choose what and how much you end up with.

If you have $3000, I would say to buy or sell 4 shares of TSLA. Based on their ATR, you have 1.0x ATR to the upside before you take profit and 1.5x ATR to the downside before you cut your losses. This is based only on the price volatility.

>Set take profit at 1.0x ATR
>Set stoploss at 1.5x ATR
>Buy or sell enough shares such that 1.5x ATR is equal to 2% of your account in losses
>For a $3000 account this is about $680 or 3.81 shares or whatever, just say 4 shares
>If TP is hit, move the SL to breakeven, you now have a guaranteed win, the question is how much
>If SP is hit, you're done with the trade and only lose 2% of your account

Can't do the big silly trades, risk management is vital.

I agree, but doesn't mean you can't make profits off of stupid people who think green initiative policy and subsidies will last forever and the infrastructure and culture of electric cars won't change when 80% of the public are using EVs

not possible, at least with the current state of the grid and lithium mining. I'm a bear tho and think this rally is a bear market rally. I think that the job market is hot because people are unable to go back to work from being vax injured. If my thesis is right, we are in for a deflationary event

I dont regret my decision of buying russian stocks, my only regret is buying an ETF which allows a "board" to make these decisions. Id be perfectly fine holding these underlying assets for the next 20+ years and forget about them but they are forcing a write off.

They'll say some shit like its not worth anything or us/russian politic BS prevents them from being liquidated, I have no problem waiting 20 years for that to change, these are still real giant russian companies. mostly oil / gas companies.

If I would have done it again I would have just bought individual stocks like GAZPROM or SURGUTNEFTEGAZ. From my understanding holding the individual stocks yourself you have more control from this stuff happening.

I do agree, it was just an example how people and politicians aren't thinking about how their wishes aren't reality. Their green plans and demands fall apart very quickly when actually implemented. I'm hoping for bear, I have a lot saved to invest for the long term and if shares plummeted in the next 3 months I'd be ina great position to get major wins for the future. I'm hopeful for bear but if it goes bull I just have to make do

Trading options is silly, I blew about $3000 on it last year. Best thing to do with them is to:
>understand how the greeks work
>don't buy short-dated options
>don't sell long-dated options
>be aware of how volatility might fuck your position
>never enter a position with undefined risk

As for actual trades, I would suggest you either buy long-dated deep ITM options for doing leaps (eg 1-2 years out, and roll them with ~ 6 months until expiry). The delta here basically exposes you to owning an equivalent amount of shares, but at a lower upfront cost. You lose a little value every day (typically cents) as theta decays. But the speed that theta decays increases as expiry approaches.

So if you wanted to long AAPL for example, you'd just buy something like picrel. Sure it costs like $8000, but it has a delta of 98 or so. 98 AAPL shares would cost $14300, so in this way, you basically have 1.8x leverage on your capital.

The other way to do options is to have 100 shares of the underlying and just write covered calls. Best when you're bullish long term but want to generate income on a crab or bear market. Usually the best time is to write them with 30-45 days until expiry, or just after a news event (when volatility is high, vega will give you bonus value from IV increasing).
The site in picrel is OptionStrat, I have a subscription with them for about $120/year. It's worth it if you want to really get into options, but like I said I still managed to blow $3000 last year even with this knowledge.

I know what you mean. Usually after a crash, there's anywhere from 2-8 years of crabbing or something. You can make money in ANY market. It just means the rules of the market change and you have to adapt. Best to educate yourself now and position accordingly while bulls enjoy their breather and bears are preparing for a dip

Thanks for the advice anon. I just got into the market about 4 weeks ago after trying to teach myself through YT videos. I tried playing with calls and puts, and learning about straddles and strangles with mixed results. It really does sound like long term, conservative play pays off in the long run.

How much money do you have? Just curious.

Like options, or trading in general? I started in 2020 and try to learn as much as I can. Every day I read Investopedia, different boards, watch YT videos. There are many nights where I'm up until 2 am tinkering with indicators and testing things.

If you liquidate all my assets? About $55,000. I only earn about $26k a year and try to save the rest. Most of this was accumulated over about 7-8 years of saving. The trick is to have no debt, reduce your expenses, and increase revenue.

I have probably 7 or 8 different asset classes with a bit of money in each (bank account, physical metal, physical cash, stocks, mutual fund, stock plan through wokr, a GIC, RRSP, collectables, crypto, etc). For trading, probably about $15k or so.

The biggest thing you can learn to do is have good trading psychology and risk management. Even with the best system, you will still lose trades. It's a marathon, not a race. Yes, it's sexy being able to dump money on a hot market and double or triple your money, but what do you do when the trend moves against you? You cannot ever get into a position when one bad trade will wipe out 20% of your account.

If you want to still trade options, or have trade ideas, there is literally nothing wrong with paper trading.

>It really does sound like long term, conservative play pays off in the long run.
Warren Buffet has said that the markets are a mechanism to transfer wealth from impatient people. He's right, both in terms of fomoing, and the impatience can also manifest in the form of trading before you really understand all the dynamics. Just don't go crazy with leverage and you should be alright

Russian government currently banning trade and dividend payout of important companies and force them to work under command of Russian government, is already effectively nationalizing them, with the only different of forner shareholders nominally still retain their share in those Russian company. It won't take much for Russian government to actually declare those companies as nationalized and then there will be nothing yet
Not to mention no one guarantee they will be tradable even after a few decades, like Iran after 1979 revolution or Russia after October revolution
And oil and gas industry after 20-30 years? Peak oil demand would have long passed even if ignoring enviromentalist policy, simply due to alternative energy price keep dropping

Thanks, anon. Good advice. Yes, I started options trading 4 weeks ago, after studying on YT. Like you, just read articles and do what I can to learn. I already had a RH acct where I had a handful of stocks. It was a baptism by fire, as my first trade was meme stock BBBY and I made 8k! Lost it all holding one day too long.

Wish me luck this year. I want 100k by 2024.

Gonna read about market makers and when to butterfly tonight.

>when to butterfly
Iron butterflies are useful when you expect volatility (IV) to decline. It tends to have a flat profit inside the body and increasing losses the further past your strikes the price goes.

I like to use Barchart and look at the highest IV and potentially bet against it. Make sure you give it ample time and research why the IV went up to begin with. (eg in GME's case, it was because people kept fighting over the stock price and short ratio/float, and that took a year for it to cool off)
https://www.barchart.com/options/highest-implied-volatility
https://www.barchart.com/options/volatility-percent-change/increase

Take a look at LCID 21 days out, for example. Rather than do a butterfly, you can also consider a calendar or diagonal calendar spread, to take advantage of the difference in vega between the dates. It's tricky, but you can play around with a calculator to find a good spread.
And don't feel bad if you miss an opportunity. Better to test out a few different things. The market always moves in cycles. Right now is earnings season, so the markets are going to be volatile. You could sell neutral spreads that take advantage of IV premium now, but are less expensive later so people that are gambling on ERs will get clobbered.
Or you can wait for ERs to come out and the market to discover a new price, wait a week, then buy an ATM or ITM call or put for that equity with 5-6 months expiry (2 ERs away). Then on the next ER, you just write a spread against your position and benefit from inflated IV and you have cheap coverage because you bought it before the prices inflated.
It's not a perfect strategy because the price can still move against you (which is why gamma hedging and neutral strategies exist, which are expensive to maintain) but you get the idea

They're importing the 3rd world to try and make them into the hyper consumers they had from the 80s to 08. Lots of nepotism now rife in the west but it's split off into little racial and cultural enclaves that only support themselves, like little baby Israel's inside of western nations.
So the growth they wanted that they had from majority homogeneous nations of the past isn't the reality the elites wanted. So now they turn the screws and pull all the freedoms and options from the free world. Racial utopia option isn't looking good, time for dystopic multiethnic serf autocracy instead.
It is time for me to bust my wealth bracket out of that future, I will drag myself into the upper echelon of their gay future as a high wealth isolationist, my log cabin will be rigged with claymore mines and fecal tainted punji traps. Their bantu-fijian crossed footmen will not make it far, I will not drink the bug protein enhanced corn syrup.
