a reorg depth of 1 means nothing since most people want to see at least a 4 block confirmations before finalizing a transaction. Coinbase, for example, waits for 14 blocks. For reference the deepest reorg on ETH was a 7 block reorg which created a lot of news.

where Polygon reorg depth is frequently 20+, even hitting a record 120 block reorg depth a month and a half ago. As such this brings effective finality to a slow crawl since people aren't going to trust a transaction even after 100 blocks are confirmed because there is always a chance the chain reorgs and reverts transactions. For example, USDC won't honor a Polygon transaction until 372 blocks are confirmed since they simply can't trust the chain to not run backwards and revert. This puts the effective finality time at about 20 minutes, far slower than other chains. Much much slower than chains with absolute finality(ALGO, AVAX, HBAR, SOL)
