Lands for harvesting aren't exactly being found all over, we've pretty much populated most of the earth, so it's very zero sum.
Crews that harvest cost $$, gear and trucks are expensive and have inputs that are out of their control normally like Rubber, Oil, steel. Labor is a high cost (lowering with mechanization, but not always) and insurance on those humans cutting down trees is high, and you're competing to hire increasingly with factories that are HVAC and less risk.

Thanks for explanation. The thing is, without having deep knowledge of this given industry I will not be able to evaluate if company is exposed to such risks or if they mitigated it. Instead I depend on the fact that they are operating for 15 years now while maintaining profitability.
More reasonable thing to do would be to evaluate things you listed, among others, and compare it with competition. I just doubt that layman like me will be able to asses viability of business ran by professionals who are in this industry for decades.

I dunno if comparing with competition matters all that much on this particular good. It's heavy enough and geographically distributed enough, as well as used enough, that long-range shipping is, so far, less of a concern for competition. Right now it's "Green" to build with renewables, and wood has been used to build with since before we had houses. All women want another room on the house. Plus, as noted, zero sum.
Maybe the biggest risk is where they get their wood. If you can find out if they own vs if they hold "rights" to public or private ground, that sort of thing will make a big difference in long-run viability, depending on if you're trying to hold for decades, or just looking to get some steady income for a few years.
