what really sells it to me that it's artificially low is that when you look at the news stories on finviz every time there is a massive drop in price it's always on news of success which doesn't make sense

>Soyuz rockets are off-limits now because of Russia sanctions so US needs another launcher for their cold war with china
>shitloads of contracts with the govt and private companies, NASA, DARPA, Lockheed, etc
>launch more rockets than every other small launch provider combined
>100% mission success rate
>own the worlds only privately owned rocket launch pad
>There are only 3 companies that produce space grade solar panels used on satellites and they acquired the biggest one in 2022
>massive progress towards reusable small launch rockets
>have recovered rockets that have re-entered earth and test fired them again and they performed at the same level as new built rockets, even after being dunked in the ocean
>developing larger reusable rocket that will launch 2024 and absolutely dabs on spacex
>history of innovation, first ever 3d printed rocket
>Founder led company, CEO owns 12% of the shares and hasn't sold even though it's dropped 57%

They have a bit of debt because they acquired 4 different companies in 2022 but they are all best in class 100% mission success rate companies that allow basically every component to be developed in-house
They only went public in 2020 so not a lot of financial info which I think is one of the reasons for their low price as well
from what I can tell among space enthusiasts they are basically universally well regarded

also just today they had their first successful launch from US soil

Nobody actually owns anything with a brokerage. You can cover your ass by having a cash-only account without options, margin, or share-lending enabled but even then you're just putting your broker in a position where if they don't have your shit they don't have a legal out to not pay you for it when you sell, but even then, they retain the right (read the ToS) to liquidate any position held with them at any time. I check yearly IR presentations and CCs from 2 last quarters. Those include both financial statements + breakdown by product and market + future plans + report on the progress on ongoing projects.
I also check balance sheet when summary is sketchy, but without understanding given industry I don't see a reason to go much in-depth. Often I just compare it with competition to get an idea where the given company stands.
