I like selling fake job and character references.

Lots of people with gaps in employent due to covid. Make $100 for taking a few phone calls on a burner. Record it and send it over. Have had neets and wagies cry and say I saved them when they got the job.

No employer hires off of past paystubs here. All call references here to make sure employees were all competent and not fired. 99% don't even check employment history on background checks, unless you're getting a professional job which none of the people contacting me are going for as a sole reference. I mostly fill in gaps for low to mid level wagies, students or help neets get their foot in the door somewhere.

I don't give references to people going into vulnerable sectors like care aids, government jobs, etc since those carry too much risk. This week I got a lad a job at a auto parts store that hadn't worked since covid hit, got a girl into a reception job who had no prior experience after graduating and only had professors as references and got a neet a job as a graphic designer who had no certs and prior experience but could use the programs.
