It depends what you mean by 50K/year.

I would say you need 50K/year with inflation protection. So essentially, the simplest example of this is real estate generating 50K of net operating income after tax.

Given how the tax code is structured you would probably need ~$60K of NOI to achieve this, but a squatter/bad tenant will interrupt your cash flow.

Given that real estate gives about a 4% yield currently, you would probably need at least $1.5M to achieve this if you want to hold decent real estate in a good area.

With my current income and expenses I’m able to invest $65k year.
Maybe it’s corny but I still think crypto is the best market to see retarded gains in so that’s where I’m focusing.
